Brooke and Mavis have been here since right around July 4 and both were pregnant and had babies at the shelter. All of their babies have gone home except for two (Spanky&Butch) and they’re stay has been unexpectedly long and in the meantime they’re making this place their home and are very pleasant and easy to take care of, and know the routine and have daily exercise periods in the yard, which are very beneficial for them. They love their meals and they have a double kennel that they always keep clean overnight and during the day ,they play hard and love harder. There other most favorite time is when they know volunteers are in the building and they might possibly get a break and go for a nice walk. ❤️ their day is coming and usually happens sooner than later, sometimes before you know it! Hope springs eternal.

**Meet Jack & Daniel: A Bond Forged in Hardship**Jack, a 4-year-old Coonhound, and Daniel, a 4-year-old Pointer, have endured more than any dog ever should. For over a year, these two were tied to a tree on an abandoned property, left to survive on weekly visits from their owner, who would drop off a bucket of water and a bag of food. Their only comfort during this time was each other.Jack silently suffered from a large abscess on his leg, while Daniel stayed close by, helpless but always there for his friend. When they were finally rescued after a neighbor filed a welfare complaint, Jack required emergency surgery, and though his body has healed, his heart still feels safest next to Daniel. Through it all, their bond remained unbreakable. Now, safe at our shelter, Jack and Daniel are finally experiencing the care and joy they deserve. The simple pleasure of running free in the yard fills them with joy. Despite their past neglect, both dogs are gentle, sweet, and ready for a fresh start. They’ve only ever known each other and long for a forever home where they can stay together, loved, and never forgotten.Jack and Daniel are waiting for someone who will give them the love they’ve always deserved—could that be you?Www.pawsandclaws.orghttps://youtu.be/UeuJsKqafMk?si=e89vViSS9A0Jv3Is
“Meet Tauno. Heartbreakingly, he was released to us after his owner passed away. Fortunately for him each day has gotten a little easier and things are starting to look up . Notably, he still has his favorite toy, which he will pirouette for, among other tricks, at the drop of a hat. It just goes to show, once again, that you can’t keep a good dog down! He’s 8 years old and an Alaskan Klee Kai mix—basically a smaller version of a Husky."
