Meet Sunny and Merlin!

These two French Bulldogs came to us as breeder releases when they were no longer needed. These two sweeties are ready to put their breeding days behind them and find their own forever home.

Sunny is a dark brindle female who is 4.5 years old. She was a little unsure when she first arrived here but she is settling in well and quickly learning that the staff are here to help her. Sunny is smaller than Merlin and only weighs 20 pounds. She has lived with other dogs her whole life and would likely do well with a canine companion in her new forever home.
Merlin is a merle male who is 8 years old. Moving into shelter life definitely stressed him out a bit, but he is quickly learning that the staff and volunteers are nice people who offer tasty treats and some much needed attention! Merlin is a stout boy weighing at about 23 pounds. He has lived with other dogs his whole life and would likely do well with a canine companion in his new forever home.

Sunny & Merlin would benefit from a home that is familiar with the French Bulldog breed or similar breed experience. French Bulldogs can be prone to certain health conditions such as allergies, dry eye, and dental disease. Her future adopter will need to ensure she receives routine vet care to keep her in tip top shape!

Meet Dixie, Vixie, and Olivia Lou!
These three female Corgi's made their way to PCHS when they were no longer needed by their breeder. These girls are ready to put the mothering life behind them and find their own forever homes! Dixie can be a little timid to start but she warms up very quickly. She tolerates being lifted/carried and she enjoys pets.

These three girls make their voices known and would certainly alert their new families to any potential threats (such as the dreaded mail man, the person walking across the street, or any other quick movement outside). Due to this, they may not be suited for apartment or Towne home living.

They have all lived with other dogs and would likely do well with another canine friend in their home. However, they would also be okay being in a single dog home. While Corgi's are super cute and fun, adopters should make sure they are familiar with the breed or do research before committing to one of these girls. Corgi's are a small herding breed and do well when they have a job to do!

Update on Lucy. She is doing sooooo well. We love her dearly. Adopted in Sept. 2024, went missing for one 26 hours in January 2025, due to her extreme anxiety. Since we found her, she has been working so hard, and is doing great!!

Meet Little Charlie.
This boy is new to PCHS, and understandably, quite nervous. He was found as a stray and had to be live trapped in order to be brought to safety! His coat was full of matting and debris so he had to be shaved completely. Now that he is clean and warm, he is ready to look for his forever home!

Little Charlie has a very quiet and reserved disposition. Once he warms up to you, he enjoy being pet and and receiving attention. He is thought to be mix between a shih tzu and miniature poodle. He does not shed so he will need regular grooming for the rest of his life. Young, rambunctious kids might be too much for him, he would prefer an adult only home or a home with older kids. He may also do well with a confident canine friend to help show him the ropes!

Meet miss Shayna!
This sweet girl was found on a property where she did not belong. She was very scared, cold and hungry. A kind Samaritan reached out on her behalf and we were able to get her to us here at PCHS.

Shayna spent several weeks getting some much needed TLC. She enjoys cuddling up on cozy beds, spending time with people, and having a tasty treat! Shayna is a large girl and is nearing 70 pounds. She is estimated to be a mixed breed girl and is thought to be around 3 years old. She would thrive in a home that has time to show her structure, consistency and unwavering love. This is Max and Lil’Bit off to do their TV spot this morning as Pet of the Week on KTTC. Little do they know this could be their big break, a life-changing opportunity.  Fingers crossed as they’re 
bonded, looking for a home together.  Little Bit is more dependent on Max and the shyer of the two, nonetheless they are an absolute darling couple and sure to make somebody very happy for many years to come. We’ll post the video link when it’s available.

Introducing the cutest lab puppies you've ever seen! Along with their mother Delta , Meet Sunny, Star and Jewel!

These three young ladies came to PCHS along with their mom, Momma Delta, after they were rescued from a bad situation. These pups are about 5.5 months old and have a whole lot of living to do! They are purebred yellow labs and take after their momma with very sweet dispositions.

Like all puppies, these girls will thrive in a home that can provide them structure, consistency, and a whole lot of love. In their short life they have seen far too much cruelty and uncertainty. We are here to ensure they never have to experience these things again. If one of these sweet little ladies seems like they would be a good fit for you, apply online today! Hey there! Introducing Tank!
Tank came to us after from a valued rescue partner after his time in impound was up. While we do not know a lot about his back story, we do know that he is a young boy who has a contagious enthusiasm for life! It is hard to not smile when you are around Tank as he can brighten even the gloomiest of days with his silly antics and loving personality.

Tank is a playful and energetic boy who would love a home where he can play with toys, go for walks, and maybe even wrestle with a canine friend. Tank is a big boy and may be a little too much for smaller kids - especially since he thinks he is a lap dog!

Check this gorgeous boy out! Meet Owen!
This stunning Blue-Eyed Beauty came to PCHS from an impound in the Otter Lake area. He had been found as a stray and unfortunately no one ever came to claim him. So, he then made his way to us in hopes of finding a new forever home.

Owen is fairly young and is estimated to be some sort of husky mix. He is social with other dogs and enjoys playing with others. He will go in his kennel here but it is not his favorite place to be. He is a lower to medium energy dog and would be great for walking/hiking or cuddling up on the couch with you to watch a holiday movie!

Owen would love to have his very own home for the holidays, could that be you?
