Ross LOVES toys – especially the squeaky ones! If you hear little squeaks, it’s probably him happily nibbling away. He’s also a certified treat detective – you can’t sneak one past him! 🧐 His smart, food-motivated personality makes him a breeze to train.
Need a cuddle buddy? Ross is a lap dog at heart and won’t hesitate to snuggle up. He’s also got the cutest little snorting noise when he sniffs around, and it only adds to his irresistible charm. 🥰
The camera loves him, and so will you! 📸 He’s photogenic, sweet, and knows how to sit like the perfect gentleman.
‼️Ross is a special little buddy who will need a bit of extra care due to chronic dry eyes. He'll likely require daily eye drops for the rest of his life, but don’t let that deter you—this champ takes his drops like a pro! 💪 His potential family should also be prepared to provide regular follow-up veterinary care to ensure his eyes stay healthy and comfortable.
He seems to be dog-social, but as always, we recommend a meet-and-greet if you have other pups at home. 🐶

That’s right – nothing gets by her! 💪
Rachel absolutely loves to sniff around and explore her surroundings, making her the perfect little adventurer. And when she’s not investigating the world, you can catch her having the time of her life with her favorite squeaky toys.

On a cold and rainy December evening this week, Rochester Animal Services' Animal Control Officers responded to a call for a dog in a dumpster. Upon arrival, a small dog greeted our officers, shivering in the dumpster along with its dirty crate.
The pup, now named Buddy the Elf, was carefully retrieved from the dumpster by the responding officers and transported back to the shelter. The officers stayed past the end of their shift to bathe Buddy, ensuring he was safe and warm until the medical team could do a further exam the next day.
Buddy was then transferred to Lollypop Farm for additional love and care. The criminal case has been referred to their Humane Investigation team.
