In honor of National PTSD Awareness Day, we want to highlight the incredible work of therapy dogs and the difference they can make in people's lives. At Central Bark, we have our very own Petunia, or “Tuni,” an American Bully mix who was rescued by Central Bark Administration Manager, Lisa Finke. Petunia is a prime example of the importance of rescue dog advocacy and non-breed-discrimination policies. Let's show Petunia and all therapy dogs some love!

Our sweet Darwin boy is off on a new adventure! We have had the pleasure of caring for, loving, and spoiling this handsome man for 3 whole years. Our hearts hurt to say goodbye, but we are excited knowing that he will have no trouble making friends, having fun, and spreading his sunshine wherever he goes! ☀️✨ We love you soooo much, DarDar! We're so glad that this girl isn't a FIGMENT of our imagination (we know we've made this joke before, just roll with it)! Happy 10th birthday to the beautiful, silly, magnificent, kind, perfect Miss Figment! 🥳
10 years is a huge milestone, and we believe that Figgy deserves the celebration of her dreams! What would that look like, you ask? Well, it would start with a HUGE breakfast 🥓🍳 with EXTRA bacon followed by an after-breakfast snack. After all of that, she would slip peacefully into a food coma until it was time for lunch. 😋Lunch obviously leads to a leisurely stroll which would lead to lounging and more napping and then, eventually, dinner! At the end of the meal, she would be presented with a delicious pupcake and she would make her birthday wish! 🎂It sounds like the best day, right?! And it's all accurate because we asked Figment and this is exactly what she told us, word for word. 😉Miss Figgy, we love you to the moon and bark! We hope that your special day is beyond your wildest dreams. 💜HAPPY BIRTHDAY, FIGMENT! 🎉🐾

We had a BLAST at yesterday's Superhero Night with the Rochester Honkers Baseball team! It was great to see all of the little heroes running around and having fun with their purple capes and comic books, but we think Barkley may have had the most fun. 😉
