After being sighted in Rochester and starring in several local news segments, the mountain lion has agreed to a check-up at Westside Animal Hospital mostly for the free snacks and air conditioning! 🦁🐾📺

Did you know.....
More dogs go missing on the 4th of July 🇺🇲️ than on any other day? 😥 Although fireworks 🎆 are fun for some humans, they're terrifying for your pets 🐈🐕 (and military veterans), so please make sure your pets are secured during this noisy time.
Also...We will be closed Friday to celebrate Independence Day! 🇺🇲️ We will reopen Saturday, July 5th 8am. Be safe!

☀️Heat Stroke Can be Fatal for Our Pets! 🐶🐱🐾 With temperatures reaching into the 90's 🔥, here are some signs of heatstroke you should know. If you think your pet is suffering from heatstroke, get them into a cool environment, cool them down gradually with a wet towel, offer them water in small amounts, and use a fan to increase air circulation.
Also, with extreme temperatures 🔥, make sure you're keeping in mind how hot surfaces get when walking your pup. At 95°, concrete can heat up to 140°, and asphalt can reach 155°. Paw burns can occur in a matter of minutes when our walking surfaces reach these temperatures. 🔥
