Meet our Groomers!

Rochester Pet and Country Store’s Groomingtails offers award-winning grooming services with a team of groomers who collectively boast over 50 years of experience. Meet our team, from left to right:

Mackenzie: With over a decade of grooming experience, Mackenzie has been a part of the Rochester Pet & Country Store team since 2011. Starting in retail, she transitioned to dog bathing and grooming, eventually becoming one of our senior groomers. Mackenzie also has a passion for showing dogs, particularly the Cardigan Welsh Corgi breed.

Karen: Joining GroomingTails in 2016 with 15 years of grooming expertise already, Karen specializes in grooming small dogs. Her grooming journey began unusually after she had been hired to help a groomer with bookkeeping, but stepped in to help with dogs when needed! This lead her down a grooming career path. Karen's favorite breed to groom is the Shih Tzu due to the diverse styling options available.

Marquissa: Marquissa has been a part of the Rochester Pet and Country Store team for nine years, focusing on deluxe bath and brush treatments for dogs and guinea pigs. Known for her homemade bandanas, Marquissa adds a special touch to each of her bathing sessions.

Caroline: Our newest groomer, Caroline, joined us in late 2023 with five years of grooming experience. Starting as a dog bather, she pursued her grooming certification and takes joy in witnessing the transformation from before to after a grooming session. Caroline's preferred breed is the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel.

Aurie: Training at Grooming Tails under Mac's guidance, Aurie has been with us since October 2019. Apart from grooming, she has a background in showing dogs from a young age, and has a special fondness for the Australian Shepherd breed.

We are currently booking at least 2-4 weeks out for all full service appointments, which includes baths, partial and full grooms.
We encourage our clients to pre-book at their appointments to avoid having to wait to get in for our soonest available.

We do have a cancellation list that requires booking an appointment in order to wait on for a call back.

We can also do quick services such as nail trims, ear cleaning, face trims and gland checks.

Due to the increasing demand for grooming services limiting our availability for appointments within the coming months we have decided that we can not take on new clients at this time. Please check back for updates when we may hopefully be available to take new clients again later this year.

If you are already a client of ours and would like to make an appointment please understand that we are booking out an average of 4-6 weeks in advance so please plan ahead and be patient, we will get your dog in as soon as we are able.
