This is the official page for members and students of CDTC. We also hold CGC testing and Therapy Dog. You will also find Tracking classes available.

We are a dog training Club located in Charlotte, NC specializing in pet obedience, competitve obedience classes, agility and tracking. The Charlotte Dog Training Club (CDTC) has been serving the needs of Charlotte area dog owners since 1955 by promoting responsible dog ownership through obedience training, turning our canine friends into good citizens. The club's outreach has grown considerably si

nce the early days. CDTC offers puppy socialization, pet beginner, and advanced beginner classes for those looking to help their companion dogs be the best pet they can be. We also offer classes in Novice/Open/Utility Obedience, Novice/Advanced/Excellent Rally for those interested in competitive obedience formats. In addition, we offer Agility training in a wide range of experience and competition levels. Dog owners of all types find a supportive, encouraging atmosphere. Whether your interest is in competition Obedience, Rally, Agility, Tracking, or just gaining better control of your dog, our experienced, knowledgeable instructors can help. Our Obedience and Rally classes are taught in a convenient and spacious indoor facility, heated, fully matted, and with loads of well-lighted parking just outside the door. Our Agility classes are taught outdoors, in a safe, fully lighted and fenced agility field.

CLASS REGISTRATION ANNOUNCEMENT!
Registration for the winter session, beginning January 5th, will open to the public on Wednesday, December18th at 7PM!

We will be offering Intro to Scent Work, 2 STAR puppy classes, CGC Prep classes and Pre-Agility Classes. We will also be offering Life Skills classes.

We are offering a *special* Life Skills Class on Thursday evening which which will be part of our program to train some of our members to be be instructors. Space is limited on this class and dogs and handlers will be interviewed to participate in this class.

Looking forward to seeing you in January!

There will be two container, 1 exterior and 1 buried search.
All levels / All Elements - $25 per dog!
Limited to 40 dogs.

We will send out a survey asking for your level and will assist your searches to help you achieve for success. All dogs MUST be on target odor of birch, anise, clove or cypress.

The last of the donated items from our club members at Charlotte Dog Training Club (CDTC) have made their way to Operation Airdrop in Concord today!

And yes, despite the original call to end the relief efforts in Concord... they are still running and need your donations! They have decided that due to the amazing response, Operation Airdrop will continue until 5pm tomorrow, sending supplies via land. So if you have items to donate, head over to the parking lot at WalMart on Thunder Road in Concord. Operation Airdrop volunteers will take em!!! ❤️

I can't thank the members and students at CDTC enough for their tremendous support and donations! When I put out the call to collect items, I never expected the outpouring from our members, friends and family who all reached out wanting to help! It truly felt like we can come together and finally become one. Just a shame it takes a tragedy to bring people closer together. My hope is that we stay this way!

Time to put your differences for one another aside. Your anger, your hatred for one group over another, your conspiracies (whether right or wrong) and your political and religious views do not matter when there are people truly in need. If you want to make a difference....step up! Put your words and your thoughts to action. Keyboard warriors are not helping...you are hurting more than you may know.

Ok, end of rant. :) Thank you all!! My heart is full with those who have helped in any way you could!

This community was in desperate need for our support and the entire COUNTRY showed up!

Final Missions Report out of Concord:
🛩 673 flights
📦 402,000 lbs flown by air
🚛 700,000 lbs trucked
📍 15 Drop Sites out of JUST concord

total moved: 1,102,000 lbs!!!!!

*These number do not include helicopter operations as they are still ongoing with search and rescue and supply deliveries up in the mountains. More announcements will be forthcoming as their mission continues*

We cannot thank everyone enough for their unconditional support. We have made such a huge difference, heard heartbreaking stories of tragedy, but all came together to move mountains.

We are all saddened by the devastation to the beautiful high country of North Carolina. Rescue missions are fully underway to provide supplies to those in need effected by Hurricane Helene.

YOU CAN HELP!!! Charlotte Dog Training Club will be collecting items from the list below until Wednesday 7:00pm. Please, if you are coming to the club and have items to donate, please bring them ASAP – no donation too large or too small!

In addition to the “Accepted Items List,” we will also be collecting specific pet related items to donate as well.

ITEMS NEEDED:

Boxes – to help move supplies are greatly needed as well as.
ADDITIONAL PET SPECIFIC ITEMS:
Pet Food (dry and wet – also special dietary needs)
Blankets and towel
Pet carriers and crates
Leashes, collars and harnesses
Litter and litter boxes
Toys and treats
Bowls and water bowls

Due to the coming storm complications, we are cancelling our drop in Charlotte Dog Training Club conformation practice for tomorrow September 27. Welcome back on Friday October 4.

CDTC Conformation practice is most Fridays at 11 to noon. Come run-through gaiting, exam and presentation in a fully matted heated/cooled building. Members $5, non-members $10. Crating space available.
