We choose our stock with care. We will be glad to tell you the pros and cons of something you purchase. We stopped carrying the cheap kits for a reason. The equipment is junk and doesn't last.

Our goal is to have successful customers and keep this hobby thriving!

We may have higher prices on kits compared to bigbox stores but please keep in mind what else our shop has to offer too! We appreciate you!

Superstores may have a lower price that isn't available to us as a small business, but if you get it from us we will help you if you have issues! I use these personally at home. We have all the extra media options and replacement parts too!

These little guys love to snack on all forms of algae! Black beard, red, green, brown, particulate, and filamentous! AND they feast on cyanobacteria and the microbial film that forms on the surface of the water.
They live 1-2 years and get .5 -1.5 inches when cared for properly.
