I was made aware late yesterday that my phone was giving a busy signal. Not sure how long this was happening, maybe since Tuesday. No dial tone at all last night, but now they seem to be working again. Not sure what the issue was, but please reach out again if you couldn't get thru. I have 2 lines , my land line 472-3588, and my cell 712-461-0158. Thanks. March is filling up fast, but there are still openings in February.

Happy 2025! The grooming business is still keeping really busy even as I start my 36th year! Hard to believe, I know. With that, I want to let everyone know that I am actually, for the 1st time ever, taking 2 vacations this year! Yes, they actually, get out of the area trips 😊. Most of my clients do a great job of staying on a regular schedule and rebooking their appointments. This is a great idea all the time, but this year it might me a must to be able to get in. So contact me soon to get on a regular schedule, and yes, when you rebook year round for 8 weeks or less, you do get a discount! Thanks Deb

Merry Christmas everyone. Hoping everyone gets to enjoy time with friends and family. I will definitely be doing that, so I am open till 5 today, then I will be closed the rest of the week. I will be open Dec 30 and 31, then closed and will be open 7-1030 Jan 3. Closed Jan 6, then I will return to my full time schedule starting the 7th.

This large beautiful family has lost the last living member, my mom Betty Engeltjes past away this October, and now my Aunt, the other Betty Engeltjes has earned her 'lil angel wings' . What a reunion that must be! With that said, I will be closed this Monday, Dec 9 to attend her funeral. I think I have rescheduled everyone, but please reach out if I missed anyone. Thanks.

This month has been something else! Thanks so much for all the understanding and kindness with all my last minute schedule changes. Scott will still have a few Drs appointments, and IV antibiotics at the hospital every 8 hrs, but life is slowly getting back to our normal 😉. If I have not contacted you about a time for your rescheduled appointment, please reach out to me, as my records show I have contacted everyone, but it was crazy, so I'm sure I could have easily missed someone.

MICROCHIP, MICROCHIP, MICROCHIP. IT IS SO INEXPENSIVE! IT WOULD HAVE SAVED A COUPLE HOURS OF MY TIME TODAY. 7 YEARS AGO IT ONLY COST ME $25.00 . Or a collar with your phone number embroidered on it, a pet tag, an apple air tag, a rabies tag, the options truly are endless!

My husband is still in the hospital out of town, so I will be closed again tomorrow. So sorry, and thanks for your understanding! It's been a lot this month............. hoping he either can come home tomorrow, or that I can get him transferred to our local hospital. I just cannot groom with the attention your pet needs with all this going on.

My husband's knee replacement from March, has developed a pretty good infection, I am currently in the hospital with him, and they are about ready to take him into surgery. So sorry, but I will be once again rescheduling appointments for this week.

So the funeral is not when I thought it would be, so I do need to close early Wednesday, and all day Thursday. In addition, someone must think I need to slow down as my electric table is stuck in the lowest position. I have a part ordered and will be using a small table till it's fixed, so I will be rescheduling some dogs from tomorrow and Wednesday also. My apologies, and I will do my best to get everyone back on the schedule in a timely matter. Thanks

Mrs. Betty Engeltjes, age 89, of Orange City, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the Prairie Ridge Care Center in Orange City.

Arrangements are being completed by the Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.
