Norma Jeane the Beauty Queen. Norma Jeane is a very friendly girl who has done well with other cats. She has not been tested around dogs. She is a love bug and will require lots of brushing to keep her beautiful locks from getting matted. She is ready to meet you! She is around 2-3 years old.

Ryan is an absolute love of a cat. He adores human affection. He seems to be ok around other cats, but is not the biggest fan of dogs. He knows how to use a dog door and has shown us that he enjoys being outdoors. Keeping him inside may be tricky, so if you are looking for a friendly shop/barn cat or are ok with your cat going outdoors, he would be a great addition to your home. He is around 2-3 years old.

February is National Spay Neuter Month!!
This month-long campaign encourages responsible pet ownership and aims to reduce the number of homeless animals by preventing overpopulation. Spaying and neutering not only benefits individual pets, but also contributes to the overall well-being of communities and animal welfare.

🐾We have been asked if we are Government and/or City funded a few times in just the last couple of days. So we are going to share this again to help get the info out more.
🐾Carmen is pictured and is available for adoption!

🐾Being a Non-Profit Humane Society means we rely almost entirely on donations! We also apply for grants when we can but we receive **ZERO** funds from the City, State, Government, or any other Humane Society or animal welfare organization. We do not have guaranteed funds coming in on a regular basis. We do not run like a City Animal Control.
🐾We ALWAYS need donations.
🐾We may put out special requests from time to time asking for donations for food, medical expenses, ect. to help cover extra costs so that when our funds are depleted, we can refuel with donations and continue to help animals in need. 🐾We have fundraising events throughout the year that also help us bring in extra funds. Without donations, we will not be able to help overcrowded shelters who have to euthenize for space, we would not be able to help special medical cases from shelters who would otherwise be euthenized, and we would not be able to run a functional Humane Society.
🐾When you make a donation, you can ask for it to be for something specific like food, medical expenses, treats, litter, ect. Or you can make a donation and we will use it where it is needed most.
🐾Here are some ways that donations are used.
1. Animal Care: Donations directly support the day-to-day care of animals in the shelter, including food, bedding, toys, and enrichment activities that improve their quality of life.
2. Medical Treatment: Funds are used to cover veterinary expenses, including vaccinations, spaying/neutering, bigger surgeries, and treatment for illnesses and injuries. This ensures that all animals receive the medical care they need before being adopted into new homes.
3. Shelter Maintenance: Operating and maintaining the shelter facility involves costs such as utilities, cleaning supplies, repairs, and upgrades to provide a safe and comfortable environment for the animals and staff.
4. Staff and Volunteers: Donations help cover the salaries of dedicated staff members who care for the animals and manage the shelter's operations. While many humane societies rely on volunteers, certain positions require paid staff to ensure consistent care and management.
5. Adoption and Fundraising: Donations help support adoption events, marketing efforts to promote available animals, the ability to put on fundraising events, and resources to help new pet owners with the transition, such as starter kits and educational materials.
Please reach out to the Humane Society by phone 307-362-1636 or PM if you have any questions about donating.

On Saturday, Shadow got out on an Adventure Hounds Outing!! He was out all day long and had the best time. Here is what his Adventure Hounds Volunteers had to say:

Shadow is a gentle giant, he is so sweet. He got to go on some adventures today, and got plenty of treats and love. He was so good inside the house, and loved having a doggy friend to play with. He would love a house with kids and even a doggy friend. His favorite activity from today was picking out a new ball and playing fetch non stop. Go meet this sweet boy, you won’t regret his sweet demeanor.
