Happy holidays! Amongst the hustle and bustle of preparing food, buying presents, and traveling that comes with this time of year, we here at Wayne’s Feed want to remind everyone to not forget their pets holiday meals! We will NOT be open on Thanksgiving (11/23)! So please make sure you have all of your crickets, dog food, chicken crumble, fish flakes, and any other pet or livestock feed purchased before Thanksgiving.

We are celebrating month with a special adoption event! We have our kennels full of amazing pups, so we are asking for the communities help in making a Dog's Day by finding them a forever home! Over 40 dogs at WCAS are looking for a family to make their day and give them a home!

During this event WCAS will be offering the following‼

☑️FREE PIZZA donated by Napleton Subaru - Rockford for those who view our adoptable pets.

☑️$25 dog adoptions for select dogs

☑️All dog adoptions will come with goodies and toys for your new pet, courtesy of CARE for PETS (While supplies lasts)

All adoptions include a wellness exam, spay or neuter, microchip, vaccinations including a one year rabies shot, flea and tick preventative, and more. Adopters are encouraged to have their application pre-approved prior to the event.

This month, Subaru is donating $100 for every dog adopted! Big thanks to !

We will also be accepting pet food donations for Care for Pet's new “We CARE Kibble Wagon” serving home bound Winnebago Co pet owners in need.

Our gorgeous spider ball python has been ssssssearching for a forever home for a few months now with no luck! This unsexed beauty is an amazing eater even though it does have neurological issues due to its genetics. Some of the spider traits it has include corkscrewing, stargazing, and a wobble. It will eat only live mice or rats but eats very well, has shed two times for us, and is likely around 4 years old and close to 3 feet long. As far as personality goes, this is an amazing snake! It is very friendly and is often moving around its cage or in a visible area once comfortable and it does fine with handling however you will notice it corkscrew, stargaze, and wobble while being held. All in all this would be a great snake for anyone especially someone with previous experience in ball pythons or an experienced reptile owner who wants to get into snakes! These two babies are looking for homes! They both are eating and shedding great and have been with us for close to a month. Reminder that leopard geckos should NOT be on any form/brand of sand because it gets in their eyes, is bad for shedding, and will cause impaction in their stomachs over time.

We have baby polar cichlids! At first glance you would think this is a tank full of baby platinum white parrot fish, but you would be wrong! Polar cichlids are a dwarf species of parrot fish that only grows to about 3”, likes to school, and do great in community tanks and with long finned fish! Stop into Wayne’s Feed Store and pick up a few for your tank soon!

Baby snowflake whites tree frogs! These babies are very small and eating any small insects that fit between there eyes. Whites tree frogs are social animals and do fine in groups of two or more or alone, if you house whites tree frogs together it’s important that they be the same size so no one becomes a snack! Check them out at Wayne’s Feed Store on Auburn street!
