Yesterday I woke up to Rainas face so swollen. Took her to the vet where he gave her a shot of Epi and another steroid and put her on 10days of prednisone.
She had a severe allergic reaction to probably a bee sting. He said I’m lucky she could have died. Scared me to death. Poor baby! Took a few hours to get most of the swelling down. This morning much better!

So everyone please watch your babies for bees or other insect bites. If you notice any swelling take them right away to a vet to get medical attention.

Hello to everyone! Please remember to RSVP for this Saturdays 1st annual Hallo-woof dog costume contest parade and party. Treats for both you and your furry babies and there will be five always and drawings. Pictures with a Halloween backdrop also available for $10. Proceeds go to a heart for animals rescue and free spirit husky rescue.
We are looking forward to seeing all the costumes and parading down around north town.

Kellis grooming is excited to welcome Jason Hussong! Jason is an excellent dog trainer! He also runs a husky sled team and volunteers at free spirit husky rescue. He trains at my shop in the evening. I have 2 of my dogs in class. It’s a lot of fun. If you are interested in joining a class or have any questions please contact Jason or myself.

International Dog Day is celebrated to make people aware of the importance of dogs and how they impact out lives. Come in Thursday, August 26th for a doggie goodie bag and a $5 off coupon toward your next groom. The first 5 dogs (1 dog per family) will receive a free nail trim/dremel. After that, 1/2 of the proceeds for the remaining walk-in nail trims/dremel services for the day will be donated to an animal shelter. Lastly, don't forget to thank your dogs for their service to you! 🐶
