A bowl full of 7 rhinelander kits! A charlie x sport breeding. Only 1 kit with a marking DQ. If these guys have good type, they'll definitely get siblings. They have half siblings due in 2 weeks from another sport doe.

Here's Windfall with her own kit and the two fosters. She may not have pulled enough fur in the beginning but she has proven to be a wonderful mother. She also gotten very friendly which is a definite bonus. Her kit was so much smaller than Lucy Grey's when born but all three of these have outgrown them now.

It's interesting how different littermates can be. I'm still early in developing my line so I haven't gotten to the point of consistency yet. Still trying to solidify a good base of traits to work with. I want a rabbit with Windfalls hind extension and Hailstorm's front extension. I have bucks to pair with both of them to hopefully get there or at least get closer. Chopped, pinched HQ are currently the bane of my existence. I am making progress on the weak shoulders and ankles, though, a little at a time. With such a limited amount of space and such a small herd, I can only do so many litters a year and progress is so super slow. But progress is progress, no matter how small and we'll get there in the end.

Yesterday at the Badger show in Jefferson Wisconsin we did very well! Show A: Tam Amber took BOB and Menolly took BOS. Show B: Menolly took BOB. Tam should now have 3 legs, and Menolly should have 4. Time to get these two registered and granded! My first grand champion eligible rabbits!
