Remember, just because you did it doesn't mean you're guilty.

No legal beagle job is too small for me! ⚖️🦄 Sometimes, I even get my own office supplies. Remember, “Just because you did it, that doesn’t make you guilty.”

Today is a meaningful legal day for the hardworking dogs that act as a service dog for disabled people. Today is the anniversary of the signing of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) The ADA was signed into law on July 26, 1990 by President George H.W. Bush

The ADA explains what businesses and state/local governments must do to make sure that they do not discriminate against a member of the public with a disability who uses a service animal.

Generally, businesses and non-profits that are open to the public as well as state/local governments must allow service animals to go most places where the public can go. This is true even if they have a “no pets” policy.

Unfortunately, many disabled people still face discrimination when trying to access a business with a service dog, but I’m glad there are laws to allow access to these service dogs.
