Walker, OTCH2 CH Temora Keeping Stride UDX11 OGM GO GN, still has got it! He showed today with Amber in three Rally Classes at the WaukeshaKennelClub. He scored 299 out of 300 points. Earning High Combined and High Triple. Not bad for my 12 year old boy. Thank you Amber for showing him.

My dogs rocked it this last weekend. Winnebago Labrador Retriever Club held our Performance specialty on Friday and Saturday. I brought 3 dogs, and they earned 4 titles, and alot of class placements. Kiwi, herdaughter KitKat, and Matches all did great. I received many compliments on how good my dogs were working. Thanks goes to Cindy Burgess for getting me and my dogs back to scoring well again.

He finally did it! Our big guy Zephyr, "Sommit's Gone With The Wind UD JH RA GN GO MX AXJ", finished his UDX title at the Winnebago LRC obedience trial on Friday June 14th. He also took the blue ribbon in Utility B and High Combined! This has not been an easy title for Zephyr but on Friday he worked great. Big thanks to judges Loretta Lazzara and Rick Cox for judging and putting up with all the silly Labradors.
Our baby, Craisin, "Sommit's Cranberry Blues JH" had a good time in her very first obedience and rally trials taking home 5 blue ribbons and earning her BN title.
A huge thanks to our coach Cindy Burgess, On Mark Competition Obedience Group for all her help the past 6 years. Yahoo, Zephyr can retire from obedience!

2nd day at the Chicagoland Shetland Sheepdog Club Show. Eleanor and Seeq took 3rd place in Rally Advanced. Then took 1st place in Rally Intermediate with Mellow. What a good handler she is.

END OF WATCH: Our hearts are broken as we mourn the line-of-duty death of our K-9 Officer Nyx, who was killed yesterday, January 28, 2024, in pursuit of a suspect.

"K-9 Nyx paid the ultimate sacrifice while serving and protecting this community. I ask that you all keep K-9 Officer Vargas, the entire K-9 Unit, and Nyx in your thoughts and prayers," says Chief of Police Carla Redd. "K-9 Nyx is family and we are truly thankful for her service to the Rockford Police Department."

Brag Alert: Zephyr had a very good weekend at the Badger Kennel Club obedience trials! For the first time ever, he took both High in Trial and High Combined both days. He won both Open B classes and in Utility B he took 1st on Saturday and 3rd on Sunday. Zephyr is a big goofy dog so this level of great work is amazing. He even had a perfect score on heeling and figure 8 at the end of Open B on Sunday, which shows how hard he was working. Yep, super proud of our boy!

Day 2 at Fox Valley Dog Training Club Shows. Dice took 1st place in Utility B with a 198.5 under Judge Sue Emerson. This earned Dice HIT. Thank you Judge Fred Buroff for being there to award this to us.
