Everybody please meet Poncho!

This young man came to WCAS as a stray with 2 other dogs and was sadly never reclaimed. His friends have since been adopted and now we’re hoping we can find Poncho’s new forever family! Poncho is a 3 year old Pit Mix with a very laid back personality. He’s a petite guy weighing around 45 pounds and is affectionately called one of our “forever puppies.” We do not know much about Poncho’s background being a stray, but he seems to get along with anyone he meets and has done well in meetings with other dogs!

🩵🩷👑 These picture perfect Pittie princes and princesses have all been searching for their forever homes for a month now. 👑🩷🩵

🧡 Thank you to our friends at Tito's Handmade Vodka for donating $2,500 towards our WCAS Auxiliary Holiday Wishlist. 🧡

And a HUGE thanks to Ernie’s Midtown Pub! Ernie’s chose Winnebago County Animal Services Auxiliary to be the recipient of a series of 5 Ernie’s Midtown Dog Walks this past summer with customers bringing in donations to the aux & The Canine Crunchery, Inc. in attendance handing out their amazing dog treats. Included in the event was a donation from Tito's Handmade Vodka.
We 🧡 Ernie’s & Tito’s!

With this donation, we were able to replace a number of damaged dog beds, purchase cat towers to give our cats a space for some privacy, as well as providing a number of toys for enrichment. Some of what we were able to purchase is attached, with other purchases already in use!

Thanks again to Ernie’s Midtown Pub and Titos and their dedication to shelter pets in need!

Steve is a LOVER! He fantastic at cuddling and has show he would like nothing more then to snuggle up in a home with his human(s). Pets, chin scratches and brushings are guaranteed to transform this loving boy into an absolute purr machine!

🎉🎉 Last week, Winnebago County Animal Services helped 36 pets find adoptive families! This included 26 cats, dogs, and 1 chicken! 🎉🎉

🎉🎉 One of our long term residents, Papi was able to find a home for the new year after 149 days at the shelter! 🎉🎉
