‼🎉ADOPTION UPDATE!🎉‼

❤Remember Kevin Bacon???❤

Kevin Bacon came to us as a stray back in early-September of 2024 and was never reclaimed by an owner. After a little over a week, Kevin was adopted! Just looking at these wonderful photos, Kevin Bacon is clearly living his very best life!

Kevin Bacon's adopter shared this great update-
🐾Kevin Bacon is living the life he has a great companionship with my pony and my dog. He loves braking out of the pasture and raiding the chickens food, and occasionally breaking stuff, but he's a great pig that knows his name and loves his treats.🐾

🎥🐾 Soufflé was the star of today’s Pet of the Week segment on Eyewitness News! 🐾🎥

When Soufflé first arrived at WCAS, she was underweight, weak, and in need of help. Thankfully, one of our amazing fosters found her on the side of the road and got her safely to an Animal Services Officer. At just 18 pounds and extremely emaciated, Soufflé needed care and time to heal.

Fast forward a few weeks, and her condition is finally starting to match her happy little heart—she’s now up to almost 40 pounds and thriving! Soufflé has been a love bug since day one—she leans into her people for pets, adores belly rubs, and is always ready to be on the go.

This resilient girl is a shining example of second chances. She deserves a forever home where she’ll always know love, care, and security.

✨ “If you pick up a starving dog and make him prosperous, he will not bite you. That is the principal difference between dog and man.” – Mark Twain ✨

Are you ready to give Soufflé the good life she deserves? 🐶💖

‼🎉ADOPTION UPDATE!🎉‼

❤Remember Ripley???❤

Ripley came to WCAS all the way back in early-May of this year as a stray and was never reclaimed by an owner. After a couple of months with us, Ripley became a member of our Lonely Hearts Club due to being one our longest staying residents; however, he was adopted by a wonderful family just 3 days shy of hitting his 4 month anniversary of being in our care!

Ripley's adopter shared an update with us along with these great photos!
🐾I know it’s still so very soon for an adoption update since we just adopted Ripley last Thursday - but I wanted to reach out and let you all know how great he is adjusting, already.

When we first met Ripley he was very nervous of us all. He seemed to be more comfortable with me at first but was barking and scared of my Husband and our son. We knew it wasn’t because he was mean, but because he was scared.
It wasn’t one of those adoptions where the dog runs right up to you and loves you instantly and that’s how you know they’re the one. It was an adoption we knew needed to be taken slow with lots of patience and love. I know a couple of the volunteers were a little nervous seeing how scared he was probably wondering if we would even go through with it, or return him after getting him home and realizing he was “too much”.
We took a chance on Ripley and he has made so much improvement since being in his forever home! He warmed up to my son and husband within just hours and over the weekend we saw him flourish into a completely different dog than we met that day at the shelter.
He is still scared of grandma and grandpa that he is lucky enough to have live next door, but we are still taking it slow on working on it.

We know we still have a long road ahead in getting him to trust and not be so fearful of everything and everyone, but he was the perfect piece to our family after losing our our last beloved dog.

We haven’t found a treat he doesn’t like, he doesn’t beg when we’re eating dinner (only snacks and dessert but that’s okay! ), he goes to the door when he needs to potty, sleeps fantastic in his crate, and loves all his new toys and BIG backyard!

Thank you guys for all that you do in saving these animals and giving them a place to stay until they find their forever homes !🐾

a‼🎉ADOPTION UPDATE!🎉‼

We've got not 1️⃣... not 2️⃣...but3️⃣adoption updates for you rolled into ONE!!!
❤Remember Gazpacho (Gus), Sweet Pea, and Marshmallow (now Asher)???❤

1️⃣Gus came to WCAS as a stray in August of 2023 and was never reclaimed by an owner. For almost two months Gus eagerly awaited adoption until he was adopted in late October of 2023.
2️⃣Sweet Pea came to WCAS as a stray in mid-September of 2023 along with her litter of kittens and was never reclaimed by an owner. Sweet Pea and her kittens spent some time in a loving foster home until the litter was big enough to be on their own. Just a few days after coming back to WCAS from foster, she was adopted!
3️⃣Asher was one of Sweet Pea's kittens!

👉Their adopter shared an update with us along with these great photos!
🐾I just wanted to give updates:
Gazpacho who we call Gus is doing so great!! Me and my two children love him to pieces!! He is a big cuddler! We love his piggy snorts when he sniffs and his snoring when he sleeps. He loves to go for car rides, walks, pup cups, playing with our other 2 dogs. He has a big yard to run it around with an invisible fence.
Sweet Pea and Marshmallow (renamed, Asher) are also doing great! They enjoy staying in the basement with my daughter and cuddling on her bed. They are not very social cats and hide from people and prefer being to themselves. Sweet Pea likes to go on adventures outside, sometimes for a week long, and it’s hard to get her to come back in, but we bribe her with treats : )

Thank you so much for these animals that have been such great companions to me and my kids. Gus is my baby! Even though he just turned 7 last week! 🐾
