Mercantile on Broad Animal Specialist

Description
An Animal Specialist at Mercantile on Broad realizes that providing prompt and friendly customer service is priority #1. Being courteous and cooperative with both customer and coworker is a critical aspect of maximizing sales and building business for years to come.
As an Animal specialist, you'll handle everything from tarantulas to tropical fish, ferrets, mice, rats, birds, bearded dragons and all types of live animals and possibly insects such as crickets...You may feed animals, handle them and clean up after them., Inventory and Cleaning. It's all a part of the Mercantile on Broad’s Animal Specialist Department. How well you perform these things and more will determine how successful you and the department are.
And always remember: Our Customers are valuable. Mercantile on Broad can authorize the bank to deposit your paycheck to you, but it is the customer who provides the funds in which we are paid. Therefore, we have plenty of reason to go out of our way to ensure that our customers are treated right.
Duties
Work with all types of live animals
Ability to deal with everything that a live animal has to offer
Observe Animal well-being , making sure they are properly fed and watered.
Learn about all the animal care products sold at Mercantile on Broad.
Sales area and back room must be kept clean, and free of clutter.
Accept inventory from vendors and stock the shelves
Help customers in a friendly, courteous manner. Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds
Observe Mercantile on Broad’s Uniform Standards and maintain a neat and clean appearance.
Qualifications
Must be at least 18 years of age, friendly, outgoing, neat and clean in appearance.
Must enjoy working with the public.
Must be able to stand, bend, stoop and handle up to 50 lbs.
Must have ability to read shelf tags, labels and signs.
Must be able to work with people and all types of animals
