Start preparing now to keep your fur babies safe on New Years! Fireworks are so scary for pets who don't understand why the world is exploding around them.

Also, more people are microchipping their pets AND THEY WORK but only if the pet is scanned! If you find a missing pet, vet offices, rescues, animal shelters, and many fire departments have microchip scanners. Please take them to be scanned! You could be part of a happy reunion!

Remember, there is nothing "wrong" with your dog if you need to manage amid all the chaos; that is 100% normal.

Socialization is so much more than just letting a pup meet another pup! Socialization means allowing the pup to safely explore new sights/sounds/textures/people etc. I visited @karmashavenanimalrescue and we let the pups do just that🐾Safe to say these puppy zoomies ended in puppy zen. Puppies are available for foster to adopt🐾

Walks aren’t ideal with Baloo. Besides the heat- she over reacts and is fearful….But she LOVES the water! She has learned she can only go in/out at the steps. She has to have her jacket on and wait for a ‘Get It’🧜🏻‍♀️ Only 10 minutes in the pool and she is enriched/fulfilled and tired! 😴🐾

🐾🛟When teaching a dog to swim-ALWAYS teach the pup where the stairs are and how to use them!! Baloo is never allowed to jump off the side-or climb out on the side. I use a life jacket with handles to steer her towards stairs if needed-but she is part mermaid🧜🏻‍♀️🛟🐾 (( Mowgli is gaining his confidence on the side🦈))

Made some ‘toppers’ for the puppers💜🖤💙 ground chicken, spinach and carrots. They also split a sweet potato🍠 because they deserved it🐾🐶🐾
