Join us in our Shelter to Service program, where we rescue, raise, and train pit bull dogs as service dogs (Sidekicks) for our brave servicemen and women. Veterinary services provided by Dr. Laura Burch.

Dr. Burch graduated from the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine in May 2011. She moved to Georgia shortly thereafter where she has been practicing small animal medicine. Dr. Burch also works closely with the Animal Rescue Foundation (ARF) providing community assistance to pets and owners in Floyd county.
In her spare time, Dr. Burch stays busy on her family farm. She is married with two young children who help raise the chickens, ducks, quail, turkeys, guineas, geese, sheep and pigs! She also spends time tending to the large family garden. She is blessed to share life (and chores and childcare!) with her mother, mother-in-law and father-in-law who also live on the farm.
