ATTENTION, IMPORTANT HOUR CHANGE UPDATE FOR TUESDAY, 12/3- URGENT CARE ONLY 7PM-12AM

We will be open from 7pm-12am for urgent care only. We will be unable to accept patients for hospitalization/transfers from area clinics or surgeries due to limited staff. We will still have a technician triage line available through the night until 7:30am to help determine if your pet needs to be seen elsewhere. If you have a pet that needs to be hospitalized, we encourage you to seek care at one of the other after hour clinics in the state.

Holiday Drive!
Help us gather supplies to support the two wonderful humane societies in our community: Pope Memorial Humane Society and PAWS Animal Adoption Center. If you have a little extra to spare this season, bring something with you to your next appointment or just drop by during business hours. We will be collecting donations in our lobby until January 3rd. Please see below for their requested items! We are so grateful for all that Pope and PAWs do for us and are excited to be able to give something back.

Friends, as we head into the week of Thanksgiving, we want to remind everyone that it is ok to ask for help.

No one should struggle to feed their pet; if you are, Pope Memorial Humane Society is here to help. Community members needing pet food support should call the shelter at 207-594-2200. We will ask you to provide the number and type of pets needing food and the town where you reside. Then, we will arrange a time for you to stop by and pick up the food.

In addition to our food assistance program, PMHS partners with Meals on Wheels of Knox County. If you are a Meals on Wheels client, please contact them directly to request food delivery through the MOW program.

When resources allow, PMHS regularly provides local pet food pantries with pet food, helping their community members.
