Pet Doctor

Pet Doctor Check out http://DogAndCat.com for more information about Dr. Webb and his Rockwall Veterinary Clini We are honest and our fees are reasonable.

Pet Doctor is located in Rockwall, TX and is not a high volume clinic with burned out, frustrated employees. Those clinics offer low prices, but they also offer very little personalized attention, and their treatment is riddled with mistakes! Our caring, compassionate staff is well trained, experienced, and focused on every detail of providing individualized care for your pet. Pet Doctor is not a

corporate-owned animal hospital that hires inexperienced veterinarians. Many of these hospitals require vets to provide cookie cutter vaccination and medical programs in order to meet financial quotas. Dr. Webb has twenty years of experience, and the veterinarians at Pet Doctor don’t recommend unnecessary treatments to pad the bottom line. Pet Doctor is not a rural or suburban mixed animal practice that provides treatment to horses and other large animals. Progress in veterinary medicine happens fast, and by specializing in cats and dogs we can make sure we stay on top of the latest advances. Because we don’t treat large animals, you can rest assured your dog or cat is getting the latest, most up-to-date treatment available. Pet Doctor operates a cutting-edge facility with full service care, performing surgery, x-rays and many laboratory tests on site.

🐾 Cat Training Tips for Purr-fect Behavior! 🐾

Think cats can’t be trained? Think again! 🐱✨ With a little patience and positive reinforcement, your feline friend can learn new tricks and good habits.

Here are some tips to get started:
1️⃣ Use Treats as Rewards – Cats are food-motivated, so reward good behavior with tasty treats! 🍗
2️⃣ Keep Sessions Short – Cats have short attention spans. 5–10 minutes per session is ideal. ⏱️
3️⃣ Be Consistent – Repeat commands and rewards to reinforce learning. 🐾
4️⃣ Redirect Unwanted Behavior – Scratching the couch? Offer a scratching post instead and reward them for using it. 🛋️➡️🪵
5️⃣ Clicker Training Works! – Use a clicker to mark the moment your cat does something right, followed by a treat. 🐾✔️

🐾😺 It’s Answer Your Cat’s Question Day! 😺🐾

Ever wonder what’s on your cat’s mind? Today is the purr-fect day to answer those burning feline questions! 🧐🐾

Questions your cat might ask:
🐾 “Why is the food bowl only half full?!” 🍗😾
🐾 “Why can’t I sit on the keyboard while you work?” 💻🐾
🐾 “What’s in that bag—and can I have it?” 🛍️🐱

Take a moment to “chat” with your curious kitty today—whether it’s through extra cuddles, treats, or playtime! 😻

🐾 💬 Ask the Vet: Why Does My Cat Knead Me? 😺✨

Question: “Why does my cat knead me with their paws? Is it normal?”

Answer: Absolutely! Kneading (sometimes called “making biscuits”) is a natural and comforting behavior for cats. 🐾💖

✨ Reasons Cats Knead:
✔️ Comfort & Relaxation – It’s a behavior from kittenhood when they kneaded their mother to stimulate milk flow. It often means they feel safe and content. 😻
✔️ Marking Territory – Cats have scent glands in their paws, so kneading leaves their scent and marks you as “theirs.” 🐾💬
✔️ Stretching Muscles – Kneading can also be a simple way for cats to stretch out their paws and stay flexible. 🧘‍♀️🐱

When to Worry?
If kneading becomes obsessive, paired with vocalization, or leads to clawing furniture, it might be time to evaluate stress levels or provide more scratching posts and enrichment.

🐾 Fun Fact About Cats & Dogs! 🐾

Did you know that cats and dogs can both dream? 😴🐕🐈

Just like humans, they experience REM (Rapid Eye Movement) sleep, which is when dreams occur. So, if you see your dog twitching their paws or your cat flicking their whiskers during a nap, they might be chasing squirrels or stalking imaginary mice! 🐾✨

What do you think your pet dreams about? Share your guesses below! 🐾💭

🎄🐾 Pet Safety Tips for the Holidays! 🐾🎄

As we deck the halls and prepare for festive celebrations, it’s important to keep our furry friends safe from potential hazards. Here are some essential tips for food, ornaments, and decorations:

1. Food Safety:
- Avoid sharing holiday treats like chocolate, onions, and grapes, which can be toxic to pets. Stick to pet-safe snacks! 🍫🚫
- Secure trash cans to prevent your pets from scavenging leftover food. 🗑️🐕

2. Ornament & Decoration Caution:
- Hang ornaments higher on the tree to prevent curious paws from swatting them down! 🎄🐾
- Use pet-safe decorations and avoid tinsel or small ornaments that could be a choking hazard. ✨⚠️

3. Holiday Plants:
- Be cautious with holiday plants like poinsettias, mistletoe, and lilies, as they can be harmful to pets. Opt for pet-safe decorations instead! 🌿🚫

4. Lights and Cords:
- Keep electrical cords and light strings out of reach to prevent chewing and potential shock hazards. 💡⚡

Let’s keep our homes joyful and safe for all family members—furry ones included! 🐾❤️
