As we roll into the weekend, here's a reminder of why we do what we do! Our biggest fundraiser of the year, the TxTRC Bourbon & Bridles Gala, is coming up in just a few weeks. Want to get involved and support this program? Tickets are still available and we are still looking for a few corporate sponsors to round out our funding goals! Let us know if you'd like to be involved.
Well, someone is enjoying the beautiful weather and a return to her paddock! 😆 It should be a beautiful week for riding.
Enjoy are some peaceful rainy day barn chore vibes with Zorro. 💙
Hello, Team TxTRC! We are excited to announce that Texas Therapeutic Riding Center is moving to a new home to better serve our clients. Our new home is in Heath, Texas. We have loved our time in Wylie and we know our move may be inconvenient to some of our riders and volunteers, but we hope you will come visit the new place at our Open House on October 18th from 5-7:30PM. Our new location comes with a fenced, sand arena, major improvements to accessibility, and increased turnout space for our herd (and a real bathroom!). While we know change is hard, this move allows us to better serve our clients, offer more turnout to our horses, and grow the program. As always, we are so grateful for every one of you and appreciate your ongoing support!
BREAKING NEWS! We have a new $1,000 match that was just pledged - but we need to reach it in the next few hours! If you've been meaning to donate, this is the perfect time - your donation will be doubled. Please make your donation here: https://www.northtexasgivingday.org/organization/txtrc
Thank you!!
Harper and Cactus at Texas Therapeutic Riding Center
Today, as we kick off North Texas Giving Day, we would like to share Harper's story. Harper has been riding Cactus for a year and has goals of riding in horse shows. Over the last year, Harper has started learning how to trot and take care of her horse after lessons. Your North Texas Giving Day donation helps us care for our horses and grow the programs we offer at Texas Therapeutic Riding Center. Every donation will help the program. If you can't donate, please share so we can spread our mission of creating a community where horses heal.

Gracelyn has been riding at Texas Therapeutic Riding Center for a while now, and today she is sharing her story about what she loves most about riding and what she loves about her favorite pony, Bobo. Our program could not exist without our sponsors and donors. Early giving is open for North Texas Giving Day. Please consider making a donation to help sustain the care of our therapy horse herd!

This year, we're thrilled to invite riders and volunteers to join us in making a powerful impact through North Texas Giving Day! To make things even more exciting, we're offering fun prizes for the rider and volunteer who raise the most funds for TxTRC. Get ready to create your own fundraising page and be part of something truly special (stay tuned for details, or ask an instructor for more info if you're ready to get started now). Every dollar raised on North Texas Giving Day directly supports the programs and horses at TxTRC.

Save the date for North Texas Giving Day on September 19th, 2024! This fundraiser is vital for supporting the care of our therapy horses, allowing us to provide them with the best possible care. Our horses are essential to our mission, and we are incredibly grateful for them. We couldn't do our work without their help. Meet Joshua and Scooter—here’s their story.
In case you’ve been wondering - this is how much rain we’ve had at the barn! 😆😳 Horses all good and looking forward to a dry week so they can get their turnout back! A huge thanks to this week’s volunteers for helping with all the chores and hand walking the herd.
New turnout!
We are excited about all the work we’ve been doing around the barn. Last week we extended the round pen into a larger turnout. Watch to the end to see Scooter enjoying the grass!
Our Inaugural Ponies & Peppers Chili Cook-off was an amazing event, despite the rain! More than 80 people attended and the chili was on point. A special thanks to: The Powers Family, for bringing this fun event to TxTRC and doing all the coordinating, set up, etc. You guys are the best! Thank you to our wonderful volunteers for showing up early to prep and staying to help clean. And thank you to Trinity Valley Ranch for hosting this event at your location. It was the perfect spot!
