Roxie's Pet Services

Roxie's Pet Services Caring for the pets in our community is what we love to do. Monica has always had a strong connection with pets. At Roxie's, your pets are our priority.
(60)

She grew up with pets and has always tried to save all the injured insects and critters she's come across. Along with her husband, she started a pet rehoming organization, volunteered at the Rowlett Animal Shelter and served on their Shelter Board. During the 2015 tornado of Rowlett, she even helped in search and rescue efforts for missing pets. In the late 90s, she began pet sitting for friends,

family, and co-workers, which eventually led to her answering God's calling to go all-in with pet sitting in April 2016. In July 2016, she left corporate America and started Roxie's Pet Sitting, LLC, with her husband Rick. By Thanksgiving 2017, Rick joined full-time, and the business has grown stronger ever since. Roxie's is a family, veteran, and woman-owned business based in Rockwall, Texas, with a team of 20 employees. They named the business in memory of their beloved Boxer, Roxie, who passed away in Nov. 2015. The Roxie's team honors her memory every day by providing loving services to pet families in the community. Roxie's serves the cities surrounding Lake Ray Hubbard in Texas, including Fate, Heath, Garland, Lavon, McLendon-Chisholm, Mesquite, Rockwall, Rowlett, Royse City, Sachse, Sunnyvale, and Wylie. We look forward to caring for your furry, feathered, finned, scaled, and shelled babies. Be sure to ask about our other businesses, Roxie's Turd Takers and Roxie's Pro Pet Hero.

Sharing for a friend of mine. 🐶 Leo 🐶

"I’m looking for some help and with all your pet contacts thought you may be able to assist.

My son found a dog several months ago and has been looking for the owner with no luck. He has been caring for the dog, but is getting ready to move and cannot take the dog with him.

Australian Kelpie, miniature pinser mix. About 3.5 years old 65 lbs. Not fixed but house trained. Needs a yard to run. pretty good dog he can be stubborn. Never had an issue with him being aggressive had a toy chihuahua as a sister and always was good to her. Hasn’t had a ton of opportunity to be in large social settings with lots of dogs so I would take things slow in that regard. Overall a really great family dog very loyal but never runs away always sits right at our front door.

They are moving next week and the need to rehome is urgent. Looking for someone to foster or adopt.

Thanks for any help you might be able to provide."

Please comment below or PM me if you have an interest or know someone who does.

PS - we have a Australian Kelpie as a pet client and they are a wonderful family breed. I see Kelpie and not Min-Pin but that may be what the vet said? Leo located in Dallas.

A bittersweet story about a kind old man, named Frank, and his cat, aptly named Puddy Tat.

Frank was a tall, handsome and striking fella. He loved to sing and very much enjoyed dancing. Every ladies dream. He was wed and widowed twice in his lifetime. He and his first wife raised 5 wonderful, loving and supportive children. Each of these provided Frank with children and great grandchildren. So many wonderful people to fill his world with love and laughter. When his second wife passed, his daughter adopted a kitten for him from the Richardson Animal Shelter.

Her name is unique as it reflects the era of the near century Frank lived in. Cats used to be affectionately called Puddy Tats so many years ago. Frank loved PT so much. He cared for her for many years. Nearly 3 years ago Frank's health began to decline. After all, he was nearly 91. Over the next 3 years PT became more of his caretaker than he was hers. The rolls reversed but she absolutely adored her person and took over the roll proudly.

As Frank's health progressively declined he made a video for his children of how he wanted his darling cared for, to include the more expensive tuna fish that you can only get at Sprouts. During the last two days of Frank's life, PT laid by his side in bed to help bring him comfort until he took his last breath.

Frank left this world to be united in heaven with Jesus and his brides. Oh how he would have loved for PT to go with him, and she would have gladly let him carry her on over.

Within the last few years one of his daughter's, and her cat moved in to care for Frank. This turned Puddy Tat's world upside down to share her home with anyone else but her person. Over time she has become more and more depressed, especially now that her dad is no longer there.

Frank's greatest desire is for Puddy Tat to have a home. A quiet home. Someone to love her as he did. Someone who will allow her to be their caretaker.

I never had the honor of meeting Frank but today I felt his warmth and spoke to him while in his quiet little home on a corner lot in Garland, TX. I do know two of his daughters and met the eldest today. One of Frank's grandsons is a friend of my daughter Lindsey. Lindsey is my cat whisperer so we went by to get some good pictures of her.

We were warned that we may not get any good photos as she is shy and scared. This sweet girl, now 7 years old, took to our presence very patiently. She allowed our calm voices. She gave permission to photograph her, and, not expecting this in the least, Lindsey captured her on video as Frank's daughter played recordings of her dad singing Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah by James Baskett and Oh, What A Beautiful Mornin' by Gordon MacRae. So precious.

Please enjoy these photos and video of Puddy Tat.

🐈If you or someone you know would be willing to open their heart and home to her, for Frank, please reach out to me. 469-745-2088🐈 She needs to finally leave her home and make a new life for herself with a new mom or dad. She will see her Frank again one day.

Developing friendships with fellow pet care professionals is one of my favorite things. Today Rick, Kim and I had lunch with a new-to-our-area mobile grooming business, Aussie Pet Mobile of Plano, Allen, and Wylie. They actually cover a LARGE territory from Allen to Wills Point (not just Plano, Allen & Wylie).

Ya'll....🐶🐱.... They groom dogs A N D cats. Yup, you read that right.

We got to tour their state-of-the-art vans. ✝️ While we were touring the van in a large empty parking lot in downtown Wylie this adorable young lady pops up from out of nowhere and says, "Hey, can I pray for you guys?" We told her we were local small businesses uniting for the greater good of pets in our community and I asked her for prayers for both of our small businesses. We felt so blessed by this. I know that was God right there telling us all we were right where He wanted us to be. Her name is Kendall and she works at Coffee at the Hub. She even took our business cards to post on the coffee shop bulletin board. Thank you for your gift of prayer, Kendall.

This couple has a great business model and is a Christian family. We are excited to partner with them in referring business to one another.

Call Drew & Julie TODAY to get your CAT (I'm never going to get tired of saying that) or DOG on their schedule. 469-409-3647

Our Story

Rick and Monica were fortunate to find each other in the summer of 2014 and wed the following summer in the same exact spot they saw each other for the first time. Rick and Monica have a blended family of 5 children and 8 grandchildren plus countless granddoggos and grandkitties. They share their home in Rowlett, TX with their four dogs: Scarlett (Wirehaired Dachshund), Simon (Papillon), Spencer (Shorkie) and Zeus (Chiweenie). With Monica having been heavily involved in pet rescue over many years, and Rick and Monica having started a pet rehoming and fostering organization in 2015 it made perfect sense for them to enhance their passion of working with animals by launching their own pet sitting and dog walking organization of which they lovingly named in memory of their pet Boxer, Roxie, that earned her heavenly wings in November 2015.

Roxie’s Pet Sitting, LLC is a Christian and Veteran family owned and operated business, based out of Rowlett, TX with a growing number of pet sitters and dog walkers on staff. Roxie’s is fully bonded and insured and is backed by Pet First Aid/CPR certifications. Our team strives to work hard to care for over 500 pet clients per year and are quickly becoming one of the fastest growing pet sitting organizations in our area covering 4 counties and 15 cities.

Our market area covers the following cities in North Texas: Fate, Forney, Garland, Heath, McLendon-Chisholm, Mesquite, Murphy, Plano (east of I-75), Richardson (east of I-75), Rockwall, Rowlett, Royse City, Sachse, Sunnyvale, and Wylie.
