Arkansas Valley Dressage Association (AVDA) was founded in 2007 and is a Chapter of the Rocky Mountain Dressage Society (RMDS).   AVDA serves riders in the Arkansas Valley, which includes Pueblo, Fremont, Custer, Chaffee and parts of El Paso counties in Colorado.&

Discover the fascinating world of horses with the Horseless Horse Class Series! Open to youth ages 8-18 (no 4-H membership required), this six-session program covers everything from horse breeds, colors, and markings to tack, disciplines, safety, and grooming. Classes will be held from 1:00-2:30 PM at the Otero Extension Office (27901 CR 21, Rocky Ford) on March 14, 21, and April 4, 11, 18, 25. Plus, get hands-on experience with horses from Equine Elegance—learn grooming and safety on April 4, and for those who wish to ride, saddle up on April 25! The cost is just $25 for all six sessions. Register by March 12 by emailing Marlena Griesse at [email protected]. Don’t miss this unique opportunity to deepen your horse knowledge and gain real-life experience!
