We are hosting a cold weather gear/supplies donation drive for the good people of Burnsville, NC who have been displaced from their homes due to the devastation from Hurricane Helene.

Items requested are:
*New or gently used coats and hoodies
*Long-sleeve shirts
*Pants
*Blankets
*Hot hands warmers and gloves
*Hats
*Socks and boots
*Lanterns
*Propane Tanks
*Heaters
*Extension cords
*Tents and sleeping bags

We are also collecting pet food donations for Yancey Humane Society.

A couple of our wonderful clients are heading down to NC on Tuesday 10/22/24 to deliver the much needed supplies and we would love to be able to help them as much as possible to stay warm while they are rebuilding and have food for their beloved pets.

‼️ ATTENTION - RABIES CLINIC ‼️

We will be holding a Rabies Vaccine Clinic this Saturday, October 19th. It will be located at 1255 Franklin Street, Rocky Mount VA 24151 (The Government Center).

Details:

✏️ 8am-12pm

✏️ You do NOT have to live in Franklin County to attend. Anyone is welcome!

✏️ Dogs and Cats are accepted. 4 months minimum age

✏️1y/3y Rabies are the same vaccine. If you have proof of a previous vaccine given, the vaccine will be good for 3 years.

✏️ If this is their first Rabies Vaccine OR you do not have proof of a previous Rabies given, your vaccine will be good for 1y only.

‼️ Do not exit your vehicle. Follow the traffic directors until you are asked to exit the vehicle. Leave all animals in vehicle. Cats need to be contained in a crate or carrier.

‼️ $10 CASH ONLY

‼️ Dog licenses are no longer annual and will be sold on life-time basis for each dog. (Kennel Tags will still be on an annual basis)

‼️WE WILL NOT BE SELLING LICENSES THIS YEAR. You will need to obtain that from your treasury office.
