These puppies owners are taking the right steps to maintain a healthy lifestyle for their little loves!
Here’s some tips on keeping your puppies up to date on preventative care:
•Core Vaccines (including Distemper, Adenovirus, Parvo, Rabies) help keep your puppy from contagious diseases that may affect their health!
•Spay/Neuter, getting your pet spayed or neutered at the correct age decreases health risks for females like breast/mammary cancer. In males it can lower the risk of prostate cancer and can improve behavioral issues like aggression! In addition to health benefits, spay and neuter services help eliminate unwanted litters and reduce overall behavioral concerns
•Quality Diet which supports your puppies overall wellness. Grain free diets are not recommended!
• Exercise is critical to maintaining energy, health, weight, and more.
• Microchip may not be an obvious part of preventative care but is a great way to help you avoid something scary in the future. A microchip is a small device implanted under your pets skin that allows them to be identified and reunited with you if they are ever lost!
• Regular flea and tick treatments (purchased at your veterinarian office) is the best way to prevent animal parasites from wreaking havoc on your puppy
• Check ups and wellness exams are a HUGE part of supporting all the preventative care discussed above!
Preventative care not only lowers your puppies risks but also helps them live a long, happy, healthy life!
