Working in veterinary medicine can be tough. Some of the things we see or hear can be very surprising! Check this video out to hear some our our triggers! **DISCLAIMER** these “triggers” are not directed at any one patient/client/or situationin particular! These are triggers that we are asked about or talked about on a daily basis (sometimes multiple times a day for multiple days in a row) and the triggering part is the mental exhaustion we face when having to explain the “why”!

Abby is a great part of the team as she is always busy, always knowledgeable, always helping out other staff members when needed, and is really great at helping strays kittens their forever homes! We are so grateful to have her as part of our team!

Here are some fun facts about Labrador retrievers:
Webbed feet: Labradors have webbed toes that help them swim and keep snow out in cold climates.
Double-layered coat: Labradors have a short, thick topcoat and a soft, water-resistant undercoat that keeps them warm and dry.
Great swimmers: Labradors can stay in the water for hours, even in icy cold conditions.
Fast: Labradors can reach speeds of 12 miles per hour in just three seconds.
Intelligent: Labradors are eager to please and can learn things quickly.
Popular: Labradors are the most popular dog breed in the United States and the United Kingdom.
Guide dogs: Almost 70% of all guide dogs are Labrador retrievers.
Nose: Labradors have a sense of smell that's 10,000 times better than humans. They've been used to sniff out cancer, illegal electronic devices, and more.
Colors: Labradors come in three colors: black, yellow, and chocolate. Puppies can be born in multiple colors in the same litter.
Lifespan: The median lifespan for all Labradors is about 12 years, but chocolate Labs tend to live about 10% shorter.
Maturity: Labradors mature slowly and can behave like puppies for a long time, even after reaching their adult size.
History: The first dog to appear on the cover of Life magazine was a Labrador named "Blind of Arden" in 1938. (Facts from Google)
