I didn't think I'd ever have to make a post like this.

I have to rehome Albus. He is the dog I found after the tornado in May. He is an extremely sweet and loving boy. He wants to be wherever I am and always licks me and everyone else, even on your ankles as you walk by. He does well with other dogs and doesn't particularly love cats, but doesn't harm or chase them. He is up to date on all shots and is neutered.

He needs a home with older children and adults that will understand his behavior. He does get very nervous in loud or chaotic situations. He can be nervous around men, or completely fine. He loves women though. He is kennel trained and uses it as his safe space in those situations.

Hey everyone!

It's been a long summer and here's to a smoother fall! Thank you for everyone's kindness through all my health problems over the summer. I still don't have answers but trying to pace myself to stay working!

We have a new groomer! With over 20 years of experience, I am happy to welcome Tonya to the crew! She has given me hope back and has been a great support already. Please go easy on both of us! We are trying to manage our time and she's getting used to a new process for checking in and out with my computer system.

I am going to have to temporarily close the shop. If and when I get new staff, I can reopen. My body is not allowing me to safely groom right now.

In the meantime, I will be hosting classes for clients to help you maintain your pets at home. We will go over different tools and techniques. This Friday at 1 I have a "haircut dogs" class with spots available.

Next week I will host one on Tuesday and Thursday. Let me know if you'd like to sign up.

I am going to be hosting some classes for you guys!! This is customer and pet focused! I want you guys to know how to maintain your pets at home, and see how I get to create a bond with them to properly take care of them at the salon!

This has been a dream of mine to host classes like this. Please bring all the tools you have at home so we can go over what tools I can recommend and show some helpful techniques on how to use what you already have!

I will have products to purchase at the class as well!

Only 6 spots per class! Two humans pet pet, kids are welcome so they can learn as well!

I will go over many things, but the basics are what give us the best foundation!

So I didn't realize in the first two pictures they got me in the back meeting Penny.

My update is today was an amazing day. It wasn't till around 8 pm my legs and hands went numb. I'm going to schedule very minimal dogs for haircuts but will keep the option of just a bath open!

I think it's a God thing. I appreciate your prayers and well wishes. I truly dont know what I could do without financial help, so thank you.

Here's my update.

Hey Everyone! I am going through an intense medical issue right now. At first, it was thought to be vertigo, or just panic attacks, or vestibular migraines, which is like vertigo on steroids! Then, friends were concerned I was going through a mental health crisis, turns out, it wasn’t that either! After multiple CT scans and an MRI, they did find two issues! I have a congenital abnormality in my right inner ear, and right sinus cavity. BUT, after seeing an ENT, it was explained, yet again, you need to see a neurologist because this is not the cause of any of the issues you are having. None of these things would cause hand and feet numbness, chronic fatigue, and the extreme fluctuations I am experiencing. I have asked multiple different doctors for referrals to neurology, but I have not gotten any neurology appointment or even a call back yet. From my primary care doctor, her nurse, an ENT Dr, a GI Dr, two different ER Doctors, and my psychiatric NP’s office, I still haven’t gotten into the neurology yet, even with all of them sending referrals, and each getting more urgent.
Because of all this, I can’t work. I can’t safely even transfer myself to the bathroom sometimes. Sometimes, I can literally get up and dance, sometimes I just burst out crying because I am so weak it freaks me out. Because of the numbness, I can’t hold my scissors safely, let alone groom or now even bathe a dog.
I am writing this to ask for help. I financially have never had something like this happen. Even during Covid, I got an extra job. I am asking for any donations. I am asking for any advice on how to financially get through this. Likewise, I need physical help. I can’t drive myself to appointments, and my mom is kind enough to try to help keep my shop open, so she isn’t always able bring me either. So if anyone is able to offer physical help like car rides, financial help, emotional support like a phone call or just spending time together or even information on what to do when owning a small business while going through physical illness. Please let me know. Please share my post, and my story with anyone you know. As far as possible. Any support is appreciated. ANY. I know I will be okay, regardless of how that looks, but I know asking for help soothes some of that anxiety too. Maybe if you share my story, someone else has been through this and can offer advice.
At the end of the day, I can still go to church and help with clean up because I can still put the communion trays in my lap in the wheelchair, I can make walking sticks and pretend I am going on an adventure. I can stay so positive. But I really am so scared.

I have put so much effort in since 2024 began, but even since the day I showed up in Arkansas 3.5 years ago, I can smile through the tough times and love on your pets! All forms of safety is a priority. If I try to groom and I am not okay to groom your pet, I will communicate that with you and immediately stop.

I will be going through a lot of updating over the next few weeks while doctors try to figure out best care for me. I got a ct scan and they did find something different than original diagnosis, but waiting on an mri to see for sure.

I just want to yet again thank my current staff, my loyal customers and all those that help support me and Bow Wow, past and present.

To say I'm scared, is a huge understatement. If you're able to help financially in any way, we could use it. I can't groom as I used to and it has me really worried financially. We have always been such a successful shop, but this big change really threw me for a loop. I have two more vacations planned for the year that are paid in full, and I hope I can still do those.
