Seasoning horses can be so fun...
It can also be frustrating, humbling, and embarrassing.
One time someone told me “don’t worry about who sees your bad days, the people who matter won’t judge, because they’ve all been there.”
Another thing I think about when I have a bad day seasoning one - this is why “finished” horses are worth so much money...because not everyone is willing to embarrass themselves.

This little powerhouse has taught me so much as a horse trainer and no matter how far she goes from here, she will always have a piece of my horse trainers heart! Some of them are special because they are easy, and some of them are extra special because they challenge the boundaries of your abilities. She’s my boundaries horse! She’s teaching me how to ride the dragon!! 🐉 ❤️

Check out this Tricked out Spook filly we started this spring! Shes out of a daughter of Gunners Special Nite. NRHA, NRBC and AQHA. She has 60 days riding and is ready to go into a show program. Very good minded and willing to learn.

Becoming a horse trainer. It all starts as a dream. A passion. A love for horses and the love for a sport.
What people don’t tell you is it is a demanding and all-encompassing journey that deeply involves both the trainer and their family. The profession demands extensive travel to shows, relentless day and night work, and an unwavering focus on caring for the horses. The commitment is all-encompassing, with long hours, dedication, and a lack of time for vacations or leisurely weekends, as the horses become the center of one's life. They become the center of the families life. Every second of everyday.
In this arduous profession, the trainer's family is an integral part, providing support and understanding, as they share the sacrifices and joys. The ups and downs of the industry are weathered together, with the wins serving as the ultimate validation and reward for the tireless efforts. Protecting the customers and their investments becomes a vital responsibility, and the love for the horses and the passion for the job are the driving forces that keep them going, making it all worthwhile.
I want to thank my whole team for the endless hours of dedication to the horses and our team. And to my wife who is always by my side even when we catch a 3am nap at the show before that start of the next 24 hour hustle. All of you are what makes this childhood dream of mine a reality.

Snoopy has been our family for awhile now and we love her so much! She’s a sweet little comedian that I never could get to turn very fast but she has a heart of gold!! Be watching for baby picture’s here in the next month or so!! She’s bred to Thor’s sire! 😬😬
Thor has shown up for me this show! We only scored 69.5 for 8th place but my whole goal has been to build a solid show horse that likes the pen and I know there’s a lot more horse there for me to call on as we go!! I’m so proud of this little horse and myself. He’s the very first horse I’ve started myself and taken all the way to the show pen! Bobby Avila Jr has helped me so much with him as well. As always I’m so thankful for his advice and knowledge. So thankful for my whole barn crew and family for their support!

We’re prepping for the Ride and Slide this week and have been so thankful for the nice weather to be able to ride outside a few days! Excited to see everyone and how we all have a great show!

It’s been a minute since I’ve body clipped one but Elon put on soo much hair soo fast this winter that we were having a hard time with him sweating and then taking forever to dry soo we shaved him! He thought it was a massage and stood like a champ!! Paisley loved the noise and slept the entire time ❤️
Do you guys think Thor was trying to give the c**t across the fence his blanket back? I think the c**t across the fence was saying “I don’t want that back! I wiggled out of it for a reason!” Dont worry, After videoing I immediately went in and put clothes back where they belong! 😂😂

I love watching the young horses gain confidence in maneuvers. Sometimes as trainers we want to help them so much they don’t learn how to carry themselves thru the maneuver. It takes practice to let them make a mistake so we can help them learn from it!
I’m also very proud of Thor and myself of our debut in the show pen today. The goal was a smooth, slow, confidence building run and that’s what we got! Thor is the first horse I’ve started on my own all the way to the pen. I usually have the role of c**t starter and they get to go on to other trainers to finish and show but thanks to my brother he has kept Thor with me and given us this opportunity! Thor is a barn favorite and I’m very excited to show him this year ❤️
I’m so extremely proud of Liz and Jake and our horses this week at the Holiday Circuit show in Tulsa. Jake placed 1st under all three judges today to complete the circuit award for himself! Liz had some great runs and several top 5 placings. Jolene was a true show horse this week thanks to the consistent hard work Liz has been putting in! Love this group so much!

Jolene has spent the last few months being maintained and kept in shape by her owner, Liz. She’s done such an amazing job! It was a happy day for me when I got to step back on Jolene and feel all the progress Liz has made as a rider/trainer. Jolene has been a challenge for Liz to click with but she has really put in the work and we think it’s going to pay off this show season! ❤️
