Urgent! Our Pet Food Pantry is empty, and we need your help! While we feed Science Diet in the shelter, any labeled and dated food donation, even open bags, is warmly welcomed. Both dog and cat, canned and dry food, are crucial. With many families in need, we can’t bear the thought of animals going hungry. In these tough times, your support ensures we can help fill food dishes when needed. Drop off donations anytime on our picnic table out front of the shelter or visit during open hours, Wed-Sun, 1-5:30. Thank you immensely for helping us make a difference! 🐾 🩵

In light of recent developments in southern California, we have implemented the following safety protocols:

1. Enhanced Cleaning Procedures: Our facilities undergo rigorous daily cleaning and disinfecting processes regularly to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for all pets.
Additionally, all tools, surfaces, kennels, and equipment are being sanitized between each and every pet.

2. Staff Training: Our team is well-trained on recognizing symptoms of canine influenza and is vigilant in monitoring the health of all pets in our care.

3. Isolation Measures: In the event that a pet shows any signs of illness, we have designated isolation areas to prevent the potential spread of infection and may refuse service if a pet is exhibiting any symptoms.

4. Encouraging Vaccinations: We strongly recommend that all pets be up-to-date on their vaccinations, including the canine influenza vaccine. If your pet requires a booster or vaccination update, please contact your veterinarian.

5. Client Education: We encourage our clients to stay informed about the symptoms of canine influenza and to let us know if their pet has been in contact with an infected animal.
