Both of our Perry litter and Asa litter did not conceive, therefore we look forward to spring litters with a different sire. Stay tuned. Spring is a great time to be raising a puppy.

Here's a good idea

Someone passed this onto us and we thought it was a great idea to share.
With the 4th of July right around the corner we tend to get several calls about dogs getting out, and owners frantically trying to find them. We ask that you make sure your dogs have their collars on, updated contact information on their licenses, or do something similar to the picture below !
We can not scan for microchips. We do not have a scanner, and if the vets offices are closed, we will have to transport any found dogs that are unclaimed to Lake County Dog Shelter.
We love our community fur babies and want to make sure they are safe! 🐾💕

Real tree ripe Peaches! Oh my goodness, so many peaches here. Never sprayed, small but amazing. Come and pick your own, $2 a gallon. In Rolesville off Rogers Road. Also eggs, honey, and bottle baby goats. Call me 919-757-2975

Some fainting goat fun, we let the babies run free in the pen, they enjoyed it a lot. A couple of them got a bit over stimulated and "fainted". All these guys are looking for forever homes.

Let's talk about this photo. It's cute, except it's not. I see a dog who cannot get up without telling the child to get off. How do you think a dog is going to do that?

The 7 Golden Toddler Dog Rules:
#1: If a dog walks away from you, you DO NOT FOLLOW.
#2: Always leave room for the dog to walk away from you.
---that right there is 90+% of dog bites eliminated---
#3: We do not climb on the dog.
#4: We do not grab or pull on the dog.
#5: We do not hit or throw anything at the dog.
#6: We do not touch the dog's food.
#7: We do not go into the dog's kennel.

I promise these are not overly difficult concepts for littles, nor will they rob a kid of their bond with the family dog. It will deepen that bond, while keeping everyone safe.

"Oh, it looks like Moose is walking away from you. She is saying she wants a break. Let's play with this instead!"

"It's Moose's dinner time! Let's give her space to enjoy her yummies."

"That is Moose's room(kennel) and only she is allowed to go in there."

"If Moose wanted a break, could she walk away from you right now? No she really couldn't. Let's move away from the play house. You can keep playing but now she can leave when she wants a break."

In conclusion, ***parent your child or your dog will do it for you, and you will not like how they do it.***

Puppies! Three weeks old, just starting to see and hear their environment and getting acquainted and comfortable with lots of people who love snuggling puppies. One male puppy available, but that won't last long.

Our one week old pups had a LOT of visitors today, 3 adults, 3 teens and 2 boys... There was lots of snuggle time, visitors had to rotate thru to each get a chance to cuddle on the puppies. But they agree it was worth it!

Just in case you might need it, here's a recipe

Due to the large volume of phone calls we are receiving about pets being sprayed by skunks, we are posting our home skunk remedy for you. 1 tsp. dawn dish detergent, 1 pint hydrogen peroxide, 1 cup baking soda. Mix in a bucket, pour on animal, let it sit for 10 minutes, rinse completely off. Repeat if needed, and keep away from eyes, dispose of waste (DO NOT STORE IN A CLOSED CONTAINER). We also have "Skunk Off" for sale.

We had seven Ransomshire dogs, entertaining Joseph in the pool the other evening. He really loves playing with the dogs and they love him.

We had a fun final farewell evening with the pups on Monday night. Tuesday morning was personality testing and they started going home. Today was goodby to the last of them. Now waiting to see lots of photos in their new homes.
