Got another one, annnnnnnd thereās still one more. My two helpers are stray dogs that showed up and the people that live here feed. They already have 6 or so in the house so two more just wonāt work. These two have a dog house to stay in, but it was more fun to try and help me.
Just an FYI, dog slobber freezes quickly when itās cold. I was able to re set both traps, but the last one is hanging back still so weāre going to cook up some sausage and hope the smell lures him in.
Once we get the last one we will re-set the traps again just in case. The couple that live here are not physically able to help me, but they have been providing moral support and coffe and a place to warm up.
Right now Iām supposed to be figuring out a capital funds campaign to raise money for land, but gotta do this.Technically itās more important to be able to get the current rescue so we can save 200 lives, but I canāt leave a puppy under a porch. Iām making the wrong hard decision but it is what it is.
Itās Going to be a Long Evening
Keithās back at the rescue with two more puppies from the trailer. He initially thought there was only one more, but he came back with two and thereās still another one Keith needs to go back and get.
These poor little guys are just traumatized. They donāt understand people because they havenāt had human contact. Thatās okay, theyāll get lots of love and be happy little puppies real soon.
Welcome to the family Levi and Chunker. Now we just have to get one more ā¦

The Trailer Rescue Continues
Keith goes back to the trailer site and finds not one, but thinks he sees two more puppies. Squealing and scared, Keith pulls the next one to safety. Itās cold and chaos, but that wonāt stop him ā¦ Keith will keep going until he saves them all.

We Got Two of the Trailer Babies
Keith was finally able to capture two of the puppies from under the trailer. They are absolutely terrified right now, but theyāre finally safe and wonāt freeze in the coming sub-zero weather.
We have a little girl who weāve named Elsa and a fuzzy bear boy who weāve named Bruiser. They havenāt been handled at all, so intake is a bit hard. But, we all know, life for them will only get better from here.
Still working on how to proceed with future rescue plans. Weāll keep you posted.
In the meantime, Keith is going back to try to get the third puppy from under the trailer.

One down one to go. Itās about a 25 minute drive, so will give it another hour or two. Now that the skirting is blocked it will cut the wind. Got a lamp from the house to put by small opening and re-baited trap. Pup will be able to go towards light and food.
If nothing is in the trap the next time then will close up traps, put down heating mat with a blanket and leave some food. Pup will stay warm until morning that way. Then will start again. Owners of property are elders and are not physically able to get under the porch/trailer.
Got one puppy. Mom dog showed up, had puppies under a porch. Homeowners have been feeding them waiting for us to get room.
Issue is there is one bigger dog that doesnāt want to come out from under the trailer and keeps setting traps off. So, we cut a board to cover the hole, then tied some weed whacker string to a hole I drilled in it. Plan is while Iām in court to have them lure him out and trap puppies underneath so I can set traps. Spaces are too tight for me to crawl around and get them.
Still trying to get the porch puppies before the big freeze, but running into lots of complications. Mainly the physics of me trying to move around under the trailer.

Scott's Departure Announcement
How do we even begin to say thank you to Scott for everything heās given over the years.
Scottās message tonight is filled with a mix of sadness and gratitude, as he announces his decision to step away due to health reasons. After six incredible years with the rescue, itās clear that the bonds heās formed ā both with the animals and with the people ā are deep and meaningful. From the very start, Scottās commitment to the mission has been unwavering. He has loved and cared for so many animals, and his dedication has touched the hearts of everyone whoās been a part of the TMAR community.
Through his journey, Scott has also been supported by some amazing companions ā Mabel, Roxy, Rob, Quilly and of course, Teddy. It's evident that these animals have become his family, and in turn, heās become a vital part of the rescue family as well. His decision to step away is not an easy one, but itās a step toward taking care of himself and his health. We love and support him in this decision.
Scott shared a special memory of a day spent with Keith, demonstrating that even in his downtime, he couldnāt help but step in to rescue a stranded boat. Itās just who he is ā always ready to help, always thinking of others. Thatās what has made Scott such a beloved figure at the rescue.
While he may be stepping away physically, Scottās presence will always be felt in the work that continues to move forward. His impact has been profound, and his words tonight reflect the love, respect, and friendship heās built within the TMAR community. Weāll miss him dearly, but weāre grateful for the time heās given, the lessons heās taught, and the kindness heās shared.
Scott, we wish you all the best as you focus on your health and family. Please know that youāll always have a home here, and weāre so grateful for everything youāve done. The rescue will continue to thrive because of the foundation youāve helped build, and we canāt wait to see you
