It's that time again! A new class is starting next week!

Beginner Obedience Class starting Wednesday, April 17th at 6pm.

Beginner Obedience Class: This class covers the basic commands (Sit, Down, Stay, Recall and Loose Leash Walking) as well as the additional useful commands of Leave It, Go To Bed, and more. We start teaching some impulse control to help dogs that are easily excited and over-enthusiastic to calm down and think! Manners are taught along with the basic commands (manners are behaviors taught for the dogs to do without being given a cue word). Behavior problems such as jumping, barking, digging and housetraining are discussed and you learn how to prevent or stop them.
We cover feeding and grooming and other dog related questions. Too much to mention here!

Class is 6 weeks long, on the same day and time once a week, and each session lasts about an hour to an hour and a half.

Class size is limited. Puppies that have had a minimum of 2 of the series of 4 "puppy shots" (DHPP) and dogs of any age up to date on their vaccinations can attend.

Puppies under 6 months of age can earn their AKC STAR Puppy!

It's finally time to start the next level of classes! That's right, it's CGC Class! The Canine Good Citizen Classes will start Sunday, April 7th at 2pm.

The CGC class is for any dog that has completed a previous beginner class. (Anywhere, does not have to have been through Canine Connections) Class size is limited.

In this class, you will prepare your dog to take the AKC CGC Test at the end of the 8 week class. The test items include: Accepting a friendly stranger, Sitting politely for petting, Appearance and grooming, Out for a walk (walking on a loose leash), Walking through a crowd, Sit and down on cue and stay in place, Coming when called, Reaction to another dog, Reaction to distractions and Supervised separation.
