Our recap of accomplishments in 2024 for SDAR

🩵helped 18 animals
💙completed 3 out of state transports
🩵constructed the building
💙provided cold weather materials for local animals

Our number of animals helped was down this year due to housing shelter animals at our own houses. Unfortunately, we stayed at max capacity more often than not. We constructed our building, established water and sewer systems, put in heating and cooling units, built the outside containment area. We are still a ways from completion but we hope to have the concrete sealed very soon and be able to house animals by the end of the month. 🎉

We are so thankful for the outpouring of support and help from our amazing community this would not be possible without y’all! Please continue to be patient with us, after all they say Rome wasn’t built in a day. We can certainly testify that to be true!

Remember if you find an animal, contact your local sheriff dept if in the county, or if in the city contact RF police dept first to report it. We can’t take any animal until we know it’s been cleared with them.

We will have free shavings available at the shelter tomorrow from 12-1 for anyone who may be in need for the cold weather! We hate that we are not open to take in animals yet but we are working very hard to get open ASAP.

We would like to thank everyone coming out tonight for our 🎄🏠Homes for the Holidays in Rolling Fork 🏠🎄 ! A special thank you to the hostesses for opening their homes during this busy holiday season! We can’t wait to have the shelter finished and open for you all to see! We are most excited for the animals in the community to have a better future! 🐾🩵

A mama and 3 babies were seen on Rosenwald at Green Point Ag in Rolling Fork. We attempted to catch to them but were unable to. If these are your dogs please come and pick them up!
