Maple Run Stables is teaming up with Barneveld Horsemans Association to raise money for St. Jude's

We are taking raffle basket donations! Please let us know if you are interested in donating. We would like to keep track of basket themes so we don't have multiple.
Baskets can be dropped off to the farm by August 28th.

We will he posting photos of the baskets online and tickets can be purchased virtually.

Tickets will be drawn at the Farm Fun Day event September 5th!

Very flexible and easy to get along with!
💲Pay based on experience
We have availability to bring your own horse and many other options as well!
Riding and showing opportunities possible to the right person
Responsibilities include, feeding, turnout, bringing in, cleaning stalls, cleaning and filling water buckets, and filling hay nets. Small facility with only 8 stalls and most horses are staying outside on these nicer weather days. Chores take no time at all once you get in a groove!

Fancy barns don't always mean quality care
We are a laid back, "back yard barn" and our horses care ALWAYS comes first. Care is based on the horses needs. No 2 horses are treated the same to assure they are getting everything that they need.
We are extremely fortunate to be able to have a BEMER on site! Sessions are available to include with board or discounted rates otherwise to our boarders
Stall Board rates start at $150 and go to $325. Monthly BEMER charge of $50 to be added if you would like, and your horse will receive sessions as often as you would like 😁

🍁 Maple Run Stables is looking to add one person and their horse to our family 💞 Don't have a horse? Lease one of ours! In exchange for quality care board we are looking for someone to help us with our morning feedings. Chores typically take between 1 and 2 hours. Depending on how fast you work. No stall cleaning just looking for feeding of 12 horses (will be 13 if you bring yours). Can work off all of pasture board or partial stall board.

To achieve an uphill half-halt, try this tip from Grand Prix rider Chrissa Hoffmann:

Remember that it’s not just about closing your legs and reins at the same time. You also need to rebalance the energy with your seat. Imagine you are on a bicycle and are about to pop a wheelie. Engage your abdominal muscles, lift your chest and still your lower back to lift the front wheels of the bicycle up off the ground. In the saddle, this same feeling tells the horse to lower his hindquarters and lift his front end—just like the front of the bicycle lifts off the ground.
