Last night’s Orientation for Basic Training Class went great! We are very grateful for our community’s enthusiastic participation in our programs. Thanks to you, we are able to open up a SECOND time slot for this round of Basic Training!
Friday’s at 1pm is that second time slot!
What that means for anyone considering repeating this class (and you are welcome to repeat class - at no additional charge- for the life of your dog), is that you have TWO options for attending this session.
Thursdays at 7pm
Fridays at 1pm
Next week we will be on the Week 2 curriculum & homework.

Our Basic Training Class begins this evening at 7pm!
Please bundle up! Remember, tonight is a 2 hour orientation that we do without the dogs attending. You will bring your dogs next week!
Arrive in time to check in and pay your tuition fee before we begin the orientation!
We do not see any precipitation in the forecast for this evening so we do not plan to cancel our class.
We are excited to get started with your training!! 💕

Everybody- wish Mr. Jimbo a Happy Birthday! Here he is in Basic Training Class practicing leash walking, down, and down-stay! His dad thinks the world of him! Mr. Jimbo was found by his dad, on the street, as a stray.
They attended Basic Training Class summer before last and decided they wanted to return for a refresher. Mr. Jimbo is a sweet, sensitive, and FUN dog! 💕

Yesterday we said goodbye to Twenty-four. Those of you who have visited the Georgia Dog Gym had the pleasure of meeting her as she was our welcome wagon, our red carpet door greeter for many years. Twenty-four always performed her job beautifully, keeping the critters out of the pro shop and greeting our clients. She had a knack for knowing when to be present and when to disappear. She was great at socializing with the dogs and she certainly had her favorites. Many of our border collies will miss her greatly as that was usually their favorite part of being at the dog gym, especially in their practice of the skill of cat herding- which she made them think they were good at.
Here are a few pictures of Twenty-four…… From her with Cyndy and Jeff in the RV making the journey from Key West, Florida, where we adopted her from the Key West animal shelter all the way to her friendship with Dawson the Border Collie and some of our quiet times spent relaxing before and after class at the front desk counter. Rest in peace Twenty-four. It was a great and long life and you were well loved by so many. Thank you! 🙏💕
