Sunday 7pm update on Sophia.... today started with a 5am update from the vet. She wasn't eating any food. Her blood pressure and blood sugar were good. Her Iv fluids needed to be reduced. The xrays taken over night showed no obstruction, thankfully. The barium was moving but slowly. We needed to re run her bloodwork to see if her levels were still improving before putting her on Metoclopramide for her tummy. She was given a food stimulant around 3:15 - 3:30.
Shortly before the stimulant we decided to bring Sophia her BFF Rocco.. she was so happy to see her friend. Between seeing her friend and the stimulant we finally were able to get her to eat a little KFC and cheese!!!
By 4:45 the stimulant kicked in full gear and she was now looking for food to eat.
They re ran her blood work in the afternoon and all of her levels have improved, most were at normal levels and the rest going in the right direction
Please see the pictures and videos of our sweet girl coming back to us.
We are so thankful to everyone for all the prayers, she has heard them!!
