I’m kicking myself for not taking a photo of when I started on this boy a year ago 🤦🏻♀️ he is a 19yo FresianX
His toes were about half an inch longer and his medial hoof wall was caved in. He was lame, and especially sore after trim days with previous provider. He was recommended to go into shoes.
After my first trim on him, owner reported that he did well, but was still a little ouchy after tight turns. After the third trim, owner reported she was seeing him run around more frequently.
Now a year later, owner reports he is running around and doing tight turns outside on his own. He seems more excited about going for rides and exercising, more cooperative for brushing, and the best part, he has gained mobility. He has been scratching areas that the owner has never seen him be able to reach after many years of owning him.
It’s so interesting how much a horse can change when the feet are where they need to be ❤️🩹
