Friends.. This information is very important to know.!!! When you see a dirty cat.. This is important information to know, why cats look dirty.

🔺 Cats can resist hunger for up to a week on average, but no more than 2-3 days in case of thirst.

🔺 Cats are usually very clean, they are groomed several times a day, if you see a cat that is not clean, it is DEHYDRATED and has been so for many days.

Their saliva glands are not functioning properly, because they require moisture.!!!.

🔺 Please, if you see a stray kitten, apparently dirty, do not run, or look at it with disgust, it has already had difficult days.. In which I probably haven't eaten or drank any water for a long time!!!. If you don't like cats, express kindness out of compassion.!!

🔺 For humanity, empathy, and love for your neighbor, bring food and above all a container with WATER. It's not easy being thirsty and hungry and not being able to say a word! 💔🥺

Bed Bark & Beyond is still allowing our dogs to be adopted but no dogs will be allowed to go home until after the Fourth of July fireworks celebrations calm down. No dog will be sent into a new home due to the fireworks putting them at risk for fear and flight. We see no reason to set our dogs up to fail this week.

Guppy update 🤗, he’s doing fantastic, he’s himself again no more sadness in this pup , he’s ready for his next chapter, fully vaccinated, neutered, potty trained , completely independent with no special needs except for needing his bum boosted gently to get up steps , 5 yr old Guppy is an excellent dog for any family, that does not have small animals ,he loves going on walks and walks like a dream on leash , loves car rides , shopping trips, camping , all people and bigger dogs, curious about turkey and chickens but friendly with them , . 734-788-7592 Please be advised Guppy is very loved and it’s going to take a very serious adopter to convince us to let him go ❤️🤗

Our dog Red is feral but our Dog Shelldog took him under her wing , potty trained him, taught him boundaries, how to cope indoors and was over all his security blanket and therapy dog.. not kidding … As Shelldog began aging we became more and more concerned about Reds survival without her until one day we allowed the Mama Bear dog in the house instead of having her stay in the kennels with the other dogs due to her non stop screaming type barking and to our surprise Shelldog welcomed her ( Shelldogs the Alpha female and has never been welcoming to adult female dogs ) we started to notice Shelldog communicating with Mama and then Red would follow Mama instead of Shelldog like he always does.. next we notice Shelldog and Mama splitting Reds time up between the two of them and wondered if Shelldog picked Mama to take her place knowing her time with us was nearing its end… Shelldog passed Away in her Sleep next to my Bed December 19th and Red stopped functioning, he cried real tears and whimpered for days until one day Mama Laid across / on top of him and began licking his face dry… we believe 100% Shelldog knew we could be brave and go on without her but knew Red needed a “ MamaDog” to get him through life . Everyone welcome our new rescued dog and permanent family member “ MamaDog “

This is exactly what we strive for when caring for the animals that come into our care.. completely balanced puppy at her finest … This was her being introduced to her new Sibling in her brand new forever home ❤️❤️❤️❤️ We are so proud of the work we do here and so incredibly grateful for the love and support we get from all of you who keep our doors open for those in need of our love and support. You guys are the best !!!

Clean clean then clean again 😂 the little family is doing fantastic, left the vet a voicemail this morning letting him know we are ready to vaccinate and do a wellness check on all the new puppies and adults ❤️❤️

I made a video for Dayna and I’m to tired to make another one so you guys are gonna have to settle for the one I made for Dayna … I’m exhausted.. I haven’t reclaimed my clean house yet but plan to tomorrow, no big deal it’s all washable and tomorrow’s a new day ❤️🐾

We are swamped at the rescue right now so we apologize for not updating with pictures and details when Mom and Dad dogs arrive but promise to soon , they are both nervous and flight risks , but as the hours go bye with free roam of the house while all other dogs are secured they have been seeking out small amounts of acknowledgment, not quite looking for touch yet but they are both definitely curious and much less afraid. Meanwhile please please please bring us your old toweals and blankets , with a new regular diet and being dewormed times 5 very underweight dogs we will have countless loose smelly messes on their bedding which will have to be thrown out so don’t worry about holes or stains we just ask that any and all donated linens are clean . Thank you 🙏

Keep in mind we need the ones pictured with bars only , not the cross wire . We need to be able to clean each kennel thoroughly each day and most of the time I’m by myself and just can’t get to all the hidden poop in the wires ( gross and risky ) * notice the feet on the ones we are going with ( floor protectors)

Time to bond ( I hope)over a nice warm bath and relaxing massage

We’re friends… not close friends but we made it across the first few hurdles together…
