Hello everyone! I have greatly enjoyed my time in Lewisburg getting to know all of you wonderful folks and your incredible fur babies. As most of you know I have moved my shop to Ronceverte and am unfortunately experiencing a few delays in the process. Please bear with me while I get everything situated and back into the groove in my new location! I’m sorry for any inconvenience, and I will be in touch with everyone this week starting on Wednesday. I have a great team working as hard as we can to be open by Friday and I’m so excited to share my new space with you all!

I'd like y'all to meet my sweet friend Whiskey! 💙 This handsome fellow is looking for a new home, and his family asked me to help get the word out. He's a lovely 3 year old Bluetick Coonhound who loves everyone he meets! This guy just couldn't be more perfect in my humble opinion. Fully housebroken, leash-trained, great with other dogs and dog savvy cats. Not recommended for small children due to his size and playfulness, but reportedly good with older kids! You can reach out to us at the shop, and we'll get you in touch with his family if you're interested in adding this stud to the pack! 🐕

Another little dream come true 💙 Thank you Greenbrier East FFA for hosting me and the pack for an awesome day of grooming demos! The kids were all fantastic, and the girls and Kevin are all clean and thoroughly loved up.. We all had a great time, and the pups and I will certainly sleep well tonight!

Man, have y'all kept me and the crew busy! I just wanted to share a quick update on booking: I'm currently at a wait time of 2-3 weeks, and my Saturdays are full until June 18th! 😲 I'm so grateful for all of my wonderful clients. You guys are the best! *Starring Carlee being the best honorary shop dog/part-time receptionist ❤️

The way I love to work!
I do understand many shops do not run this way, you do you. If it works for you than by all means. That being said I do believe it helps the dogs keep the grooming process less stressful and positive if they are at the shop for the shortest amount of time necessary. This is why.
1. Kennel time in a place outside the home can be stressful for your dog. The same way being at a shelter is stressful. Listening to other dogs barking loudly, hearing the big scary dragon of a dryer going and the uncertainty of waiting.
2. Technically a dog should have access to potty breaks on average every 3 hours or so, this cannot be given at most shops.
3. Do dogs who are at the shop for extended periods have access to clean drinking water?
4. Possible potty accidents the longer they are there and on a freshly bathed coat this can result in an entire or partial bath needed again.

I get my dogs in and out in 2 hours (mostly) and I love it.
1. This gives me one on one time with them, to truly be there for them and give them my full undivided attention.
2. Pet parents love that they get their best friend back as soon as possible. Sometimes it’s even harder on the parents than the dogs to be separated.
3. This helps set boundaries and expectations so pet parent won’t try to use your grooming service as a boarding service.
4. A less chaotic, more stress free experience for the dogs.

Bather/Assistant Extraordinaire: Carissa Belle Cochran

I found another human as crazy about animals as I am! Carissa is a very sweet young lady with an incredible passion and love for all four-legged critters. She is a Junior at Greenbrier East High School and a member of FFA. I have been blown away by her kindness and willingness to work hard. Pictured with her is her sweet pup Willow! In her own words: "In the three short weeks I have worked with Emily, I have learned so much and am so grateful for the opportunity to work with her. Bring your pets in: I am looking forward to meeting you and your four-legged babies!"
