My handsome boy crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday (January 19th). He was only 6 years old and had a tough start in life, born with multiple birth defects like small kidneys, ectopic ureters, a bladder the size of a dime (1cm), a heart murmur, and more. I always knew he wouldn’t live to the typical age, but knowing that doesn’t make it any easier. Please hug your furbabies a little tighter for me today. I feel lost without him. I wanted to share this here since I celebrated his birthday with you all less than a month ago. Cherish the time you have with them—it’s never enough. 🤍💔💔

I adopted my dog knowing he was blind, but to me, he’s no different from any other dog. Every day, I tell him that he’s the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, that he’s unique, and that I love him just the way he is! He’s a happy, healthy, confident, and loving companion. Disabled animals can have well-being and quality of life, and they absolutely deserve forever families. I’ve never once regretted adopting a blind dog—it’s been the best gift ever.
