Since the U.S. outbreak of avian influenza A (H5N1) in dairy cattle began in March 2024, dozens of cats are known to have contracted the virus, including barn and feral cats, indoor cats, and big cats in zoos and in the wild (e.g., mountain lions, tigers, leopards, and bobcats).

This should not be happening in 2024…their statement says rabies is usually fatal if left untreated. It should say always fatal, if left untreated.

Rose Bud and the veterinary community are profoundly saddened by the passing of Dr. Laura. Our thoughts and condolences are with her friends, family, and the numerous clients she worked with over the years.

We are without power/phones, just like everyone else! Today is our lunch day, so we will be out of the office from 11:45ish - 2 .
Hopefully power will be back on around 2 🤞🏼

Dr. Bittle and Halli have had a family emergency and we will be closing at NOON today, and out of the office tomorrow.

We are so sorry for the inconvenience and will be back to somewhat normal next week. Dr. Baker will fill in if needed and our dear Maddison will be back from her honeymoon!

It is also National Vet Tech week and Bree does a little bit around here, but can’t run the clinic by herself 😅
