•Culture & Cytology – Screen for infections and inflammation that could hinder conception.

•Ultrasound – Evaluate her uterus and ovaries for any irregularities or cysts.

•Biopsy – Highly recommended for mares over 15 years or those unable to conceive in the last 2 years to assess uterine health.

•Serum Hormone Panel – Check progesterone (critical for maintaining pregnancy) and ACTH (to rule out metabolic concerns).

Meet Nicky, one of our hardworking small animal assistants!

“Hi I’m Nicky, I am a small animal assistant here at Pallone Veterinary Hospital. I enjoy helping in anyway I can whether it be helping in X-ray, monitoring hospitalized patients, monitoring in surgery, or wherever I am needed. I enjoy my job so much. We have the best boss and office manager, not to mention our staff is like family. Ever since I was a little girl I have always wanted to work with animals. My dream was to be a vet but god had other plans for me. When I am not at work I am a mother of 3 beautiful children, a wife to a pretty awesome husband, and a mom to 10 fur babies. Ha yes, 10! I enjoy running around from sport to sport with my kids whether it be baseball, softball, basketball or football, you name it. Being a mom is my favorite job. When I am not chasing kids from sport to sport I enjoy hanging out with friends and just enjoying what time I get at home.” -Nicky

We are all very sad about losing not only a colleague but also a neighbor. Dr. Laura Mobley Martin passed away last night. Laura and I attended Rose Bud high school together. Her father was my chemistry teacher. Her brother David and I graduated together. Laura practiced here in Rose Bud and we saw each other almost daily. She will be missed in the Rose Bud community as well as Arkansas veterinary community. It always saddens me to lose a fellow veterinarian. Someone who has chosen the same mission to serve the community and improve the life of the animals and their owners. We pray for her family. - Dr MP

"Pete" Cagle is back to work after surgery for a ruptured diaphram a couple of months ago! You can tell that he LOVES his job! So glad he's back on the payroll at Rose Bud Bull Development!
