We are a large Christian family, on a small family-owned and operated farm in Central Texas, in a beautiful little town called Rosebud. We raise many kinds of animals, all of which are heritage breeds. Including registered and unregistered Nigerian Dwarf goats, Mini Nubian & Mini LaMancha goats, Jacob sheep, chickens, turkeys, ducks, guinea fowl, Jersey & Golden Gurnsey cows, and registe

red KuneKune pigs. At our farm we do our best to give the animals we raise a natural, free, happy, stress-free lifestyle. We firmly believe that all animals, even those raised explicitly for human consumption, deserve a comfortable, safe, healthy, and natural life. Our mission as the keepers of these animals is to give them the best life possible for as long as they are in our care. When their life comes to an end, we do so in as humanely a way as possible. Animals are not raw materials we produce, nor are they machines, nor are they human. We strive to treat them with the compassion and caring that they deserve while keeping in mind their position in life. Since Little Sprouts Farm has moved to Texas from the Rogue Valley of Southern Oregon, the Lord has been leading us down a different path and we are taking a break from selling foods and beverages.

Where did Little Sprouts Farm get its name? Sometimes we are asked “what does the name little sprouts mean?”

The simplest answer is… our farm is a celebration of life: plants, animals, ideas, and most importantly our own family. The most important little sprouts are our own little sprouts – 8 at home and 4 sprouts who are now grown and starting lives of their own

Thank you all for your patience as we get through this crazy summer! Its been a wild summer and we are getting back in the loop!
Our farm is downsizing greatly to make room for rescue horses coming to our farm! An exciting new chapter for our family!

I just LOVE Jacob sheep!! After raising these unique guys for 15 years we wouldn't have any other breeds. As some may know we had quite a journey the last couple years with struggles of adding a new herd to our stock that were drastically sickly. Now the Lord has blessed us with that learning experience and now we have a beautiful flock. Here are some recents of a fragment of this year's lamb crop!

First hatch of the year! Ducks bring so much joy 🌟✨🩵

Our handy 12 year old has been raising and caring for our ducks and absolutely loves them. From the parents to the hatching to the ducklings themselves are all his project 😁 And how can you resist these sweet things!

Friend and family opportunity!

Little Sprouts Farm will drive up to 200 miles from our farm in Rosebud TX to meet you at a drop point or directly to your house with your new baby goat! Minimum 3 goats and we'll hit the road!

Do you have a friend or family member that also needs a precious goat to snuggle or help them take the next step into self sufficiency? You can join in as a group to meet the 3 goat minimum.

As an added addition we also have super sweet and amazing farm dog pups ready for homes that can tag along the trip if you need a new buddy!!

A dear friend is looking to place her gorgeous purebred British white heifers and British white/high Park steers into a new pasture.

All are over a year. Beautiful healthy cattle, I can personally vouch for them. They are so sweet and easy going! Super tame and friendly, and they looove cookies!

A great opportunity! ❤️

An activity of farm life...

I went out to do the daily walk around, refresh waters, and make sure everyone was happy and healthy.. Well on my way out I heard a faint cry from the back corner of the pasture. Upon arrival there was a new baby that had wondered away and got lost. It was chilly with heavy winds and she was struggling, couldn't stand or hold her head up, and had no suckle reflx. All she was able to do was faintly cry.

Immediately she went into a warm water bed. And with no suckle reflex, the best way to go about it was tube feeding. So while she was getting lovings and care from the nurturing 8 year old, I made a quick run right around the corner to the local feed store for a feeding tube. Buttt they were out! Oh no! Now to plan B. Get back home and slowly feed her, tiny amounts at a time dribbled in her mouth.

Whew! Now with a full belly, warm bed and lots of love she's taking a nappy. Praying her suckle reflex returns and she continues to be a fighter!

Mainly unexpected health challenges within our family that are taking time and resources that we normally spend talking to customers and posting to social media on an hourly basis. The sheep are always ready to go out to the pastures every morning!

To a farmer, their animals are more then just animals. They are our life, joy, passion, future, heartache, sweat and tears. They are the Lord's creations that the Lord has given us responsibility for, and we do not take the responsibility lightly. You never know what you may find in a farm house. Sometimes it's a orphan lamb getting a spa day!

Stampede! This morning heading out to the sunshine. These babies are all available! 71 total ready for forever homes. During the day they romp and play in the sunshine on warm days, and rest in a nice bed of straw at night. Happy campers! ******** Note: The little white doeling in the background with a limp is a special case and not available. We are in the process of getting a special cast for her to see if her leg will recover ❤️

Little piggy needed a little extra TLC. Being the smallest she just couldn't complete with her many larger siblings. Hopefully after just a couple days inside getting spoiled she can rejoin her siblings! ❣️ She needs a name... Suggestions?
