It is with great pleasure and excitement that I announce the "Paleo Pairing", the first litter to come out of the Feywild! It's been in the works for a few months now, but needed to wait for Mia's health testing to be just as extensive as the chosen stud. It took me a long time to find a male that I thought would bring as much, if not more, to the table as Mia does. Without further ado, the future parents of some little dinosaurs:

Ashton's titling speaks for itself, but his owner had a bit extra to say about him!
Ashton has an excellent temperament and is very well-rounded. He has multiple titles in a variety of sports. He is the most versatile Labrador I have ever owned. He is extremely athletic, a great family pet, awesome drive with a great off switch and hard working when he needs to get the job done. Ashton always gives everything he has and will do anything asked of him.
DOB: October 20, 2015
22 1/2″ tall
65 pounds
Ashton has competed and competes in dock jumping, hunt tests, fastcat, weight pull and shed hunting.
He is also the first male Labrador Retriever to earn United Grand Weight Pull Championship in UKC!

I know I share a lot about Mia here, but I wanted to share more, because I can always say more 😆
Mia is the most amazing dog I have ever had. She is extremely dedicated to her job, whatever that may be, and throws all of herself into her work. She will try anything I ask of her, even if she has never tried before, and is a quick study. Mia has the stamina and brain power to go all day long if she needs to.
To give a scope on her trying anything for me, she has tried her paw at many things and ended up being good at the vast majority! Obedience was not her favorite, and Rally lost her interest as we started adding more sports to her repertoire. She did them for me, but she would rather not anymore, and I've told her that is okay.
Running sports are her favorite, and she competes both in AKC FCAT and CAT events and in UKC Precision Coursing and DASH (with a chance to try Steeplechase this year!) She doesn't have any Agility titles, that's a handler issue more than a her issue, but she regularly goes to Agility practice and she loves the A Frame and Tunnel!
Competiting strongly for favorite sport would be Odor Detection. She started almost two years ago and immediately started to excel. She has tenacity for the search and has a hard time accepting the idea that a hide can be inaccessible.
Our latest endeavor is weight pull. This is an area that really shows how willing she is to go along with my shenanigans. On the day we decided to try weight pull, she had never even seen a weight pulling harness, let alone wear one. We both had some learning to do, but once she got the idea, she was amazing.
On the other side of the dog ownership coin, because all of this makes her sound like a lunatic, Mia is a perfect house companion. She is happy to chill on the couch with me even if I don't throw the ball first. Her main priority is making sure she is as close to me as possible. Now, if I wanted to throw a ball, that would be great. This last week I have had to spend a week in bed due to a broken bone in my foot. Mia has been my constant companion, laying with me. She didn't have a driving desire to go play with the other dogs and never begged to even when it sounded like so much doggy fun was being had. In fact, if it was forgotten to let her back into my room, she would sit and wait for someone to remember.
Lastly, because I think I may have said *too* much, for those who do sports like rally, obedience, and agility, she's a dream. She doesn't mind drilling for a good 20 to 30 minutes at a time, and that is a conservative estimate. If you have rewards coming, she will keep giving. I have watched her switch gears from a UKC DASH event, turning around, and walking into a formal Obedience ring. She is literally all I could ask for.

We are expecting puppies with well rounded temperaments to try whatever you would like to, and have the intelligence to make it happen. I expect Medium drive with excellent off switches. Siblings of both parents are successful in sports, being working hunters, and of course being phenomenal companions.
The waitlist is open with a few spots left!
