This is the True Example of a Cane (kah-nay) Corso The Dorso and Rottweiler were roman DOGS OF WAR. after the fall of Rome both dogs were al but extincted, some that were smuggled to germany with the Rottweiler .. The corso was saved buy a man named Paolo Breber during the Reconstruction period of the 1980's. This is the dog that was created by the poor farmers (back yard breeders) of Southern Italy, a dog that could serve all of the needs for the poor farmers/ranchers in southern Italy .. but during the reconstruction/resurrection of the breed. Those in Naples had other ideas about what was the true Corso. 99% of the so-called corso today look anything like this.
All of the AKC/ICCF dogs are boxer/Neapolitan mastiff cross or both. These original dogs were health champions .. if you would .. as solid as come .. they didn't drool had an awesome scissor bite, no droopy eyes .. these were classified as catch dogs .. all of this was destroyed by the AKC and the ICCF with the infusion of the Boxer .. because of this todays Cane Corso is plagued with tons of health issues. Such a shame

I Find it completely amazing how all of the Rottweiler breeders large and small here in the north west have shifted from breeding German Rottweilers to these Serbian so-called Rottweilers. With the Serbian Rotts you really just don't know what you'll be getting. So far every Serbian I have seen is much smaller than the German Rottweiler. As for me there is only one true Rottweiler, that would be from Germany.

The one on the left is a Serbian Rotti .. I call them Pug Rotts (Test tube Rottis)
I personally breed German Rottweilers with all pedigree that proves it.
To be certain you are getting a true Rottweiler always check their pedigree papers

To the followers of this page .. I only breed German Rottweilers. No Serbians or eastern European,Russian. With the Serbians, you just do not know what you'll be getting. They are doing so much genetic manipulations, and the ones I have seen, are not even close to a strong german bloodline. Always check your pedigree papers when buying a pure bread dog.

Cane Corso 20 years ago ..
If you look closely, the scar between his eyes is where he got gouged by a wild bore .. he then turned and killed it on the spot. Dr. Paolo Breber collected 150 of these dog from farms of southern Italy .. This is what they looked like!
But those in Naples had another idea and I believe they chose a dog that was from the Neapolitan Mastiff.
These were the working farm dogs in Southern Italy at the time. This dog has nothing to do with the Neapolotian dog what so ever!
This is the Dog that was spoke about in the middle ages .. This like the Rottweiler is a Molosur dog

Even with all of life's struggles, I have been blessed beyond belief. Although We don't produce as many Pups as other kennels, what we do produce is amazing. Both Odin and our females are absolutely gorgeous. Odin is a towering 160lb male. A very powerful Rottweiler and the girls are all with top notch German Bloodline. Odin and our ladies put off excellent Big b***d with big blocky head pups.
The other blessing was to find a rare original old world bloodline of the real/traditional Cane Corso. To have found this bloodline was a fluke or an incredible miracle. I now have 3 amazing Cane Girls that are all beautiful. They stun me every time I look at them and watch them grow up. These Dogs spot on of the Dr. Paolo Breber dogs .. I rare find indeed, The man responsible for saving this incredible Dog breed from extinction. That s lot to be grateful for.
