🎆We will be closed on Friday, July 4th, in celebration of Independence Day! 🎆

While you enjoy the festivities, please remember these important safety tips to keep your pets safe and stress-free:

🐾 Keep pets indoors — Fireworks and loud celebrations can be very frightening.
🐾 Update ID tags & microchips — Just in case your pet gets scared and escapes.
🐾 Create a safe space — A quiet room with their favorite bed, toys, and calming music can help ease anxiety.
🐾 Avoid sharing holiday food — Many party foods can be harmful or toxic to pets.
🐾 Plan ahead — Make sure you have any necessary medications or calming aids ready before the holiday.

If your pet experiences an emergency while we’re closed, please call our clinic at 541-673-1345 for your options in emergency care.

We’re so lucky to have Holly as part of our team! As one of our amazing licensed technicians, she’s truly an angel watching over our precious fur children whenever they need to be under anesthesia. 🐶🐱💙

Outside of the clinic, Holly stays just as busy tending to her beautiful garden, caring for her flock of chickens, and keeping up with her wonderful boy-forward family—her husband and their three boys! 🐓🌱👨‍👩‍👦‍👦

Above normal high temperatures are forecast for Roseburg on Tuesday.

Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Medford told News Radio 93-9 FM and 1240 KQEN that the mercury should reach 88 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The normal high temperature for June 24th is 80 degrees.

Important information from Oregon Veterinary Medical Association:
"Precautionary harmful algae advisories have been issued by Oregon Health Authority for Lost Creek Lake in Jackson County (where a dog was reported to have died), Prineville Reservoir in Crook County and Devil's Lake in Lincoln County. (Precautionary status means a bloom has been sighted and water sampling is unavailable within 1 business day due to limited resources.)
UPDATE: Since this post, additional warnings have been issued for: Lake Billy Chinook in Jefferson County (cyanotoxins are above recreational use values for human exposure which means they are too high for animal exposure as well) and Fern Ridge Reservoir in Lane County. The decision to issue the advisory for Fern Ridge is based on a report of a toxigenic bloom from a partner agency. Results of testing in the days to come will either confirm the advisory or allow it to be lifted.
Additionally, an advisory was issued by Washington for the Columbia River shoreline at Cottonwood Beach in Washougal. This advisory is for benthic algae mats, which are often attached to the bottom of waterways in mats, blobs or spires, or detached and floating in clumps. They can occur anywhere in a fast or slow-moving water body, do not affect water clarity, and can feel slimy, gelatinous or slippery.
