🐾 Supporting Our Community’s Colony Cats 🐾

Community (feral) cats play an important part in our neighborhoods—they help with natural pest control and thrive within their colonies. They may not be indoor pets, but they still deserve care and protection.

Cold weather is coming, and having safe, insulated shelters can make a huge difference. Here is a list of DIY plans and ready-to-buy feral housing options to help you support outdoor cats:

Meet Brennan and Dale. We brought these sweet boys into our program after finding them being given away in a parking lot. Once they were with us, we discovered that Dale has a congenital jaw defect—his lower jaw is misaligned. Thankfully, our vet is confident he can still live a happy, healthy life (he’ll just need his bottom canines removed).

Both boys are now catching up on their vaccines, and next up are their neuters and a dental procedure for Dale to keep him comfortable.

Stories like theirs are only possible because of the incredible generosity of our donors. Your support gives kittens like Brennan and Dale the chance they deserve. Thank you for helping us help them.

Giving Tuesday is a global day of generosity that takes place every year after Thanksgiving. (Dec. 2 this year!) It’s a day dedicated to giving back — supporting nonprofits, lifting up communities, and helping causes that make the world a little brighter.

Why it matters:
For nonprofits like ours, Giving Tuesday is incredibly important. Donations made leading up to and on this single day, help fund medical care, food, supplies, and lifesaving programs that we rely on all year long. Your support on Giving Tuesday directly impacts the animals in our care and allows us to say “yes” to more cats in need!

🚨Cuteness Alert!!🚨 🐾🐈
Meet Willow and Penelope, two adorable sisters who are as sweet and cuddly as they come. They’re a bonded pair at heart and would love to stay together, but it’s not required — they’ll thrive anywhere they’re loved. These girls are ready to bring double the warmth and double the purrs to their new home. These two will be at the adoption event this Saturday!

🍊🍊Love orange cats??
Meet Louise, a young mama just a little over a year old who has done an incredible job raising her six beautiful kittens—five girls and one boy, all in various shades of orange.

Louise and her kittens are ready to find their own forever homes. They don’t need to be adopted together, but every one of them is hoping for a family to love. They enjoy affection and do well with other cats, though they may be a bit shy when they first arrive.

Orange cats are known for their fun, social, and outgoing personalities—traits. With time, patience, and a safe, loving home, we're sure they’ll blossom into the wonderful orange kitties they’re meant to be! Interested in a meet and greet? Give us a call! (541) 529-9616

Helping Animals Find New Homes Since 1991!

The New Beginnings SPCA is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization that operates solely on donations. We are also a no-kill organization, which means animals are never euthanized simply because they are homeless or have behavioral problems. We euthanize only if there are serious health issues that are not treatable and the animal is suffering. We do not euthanize for Felv or FIV.
