All kittens and cats 6 months or older only have an adoption fee of $50. We hope to see you there!

We know there has been a lot of community concern about the many, many cats at Wal-Mart. Here's a little update:

We, by that I mean our wonderful feral kitty committee, has trapped and spayed/neutered 34 cats. These were all done through Saving Grace. They offered us a discount rate for these ferals. Ten more to be done this coming week!

There has also at least another 6 (that we know of) that were trapped by a couple of other ladies and done through a local clinic by a private citizen. I don't know that she wants to have her name published so keeping that private right now.

There is still a bunch of cats there needing to be TNR'd. A bunch more. When this project started it was thought there were around 70. Now it may be as much as 100. Unfortunately, there are two very pregnant females that have ignored the traps.

We wish most of these cats could be placed in barn homes but so far that hasn't been possible except for a handful of them. The majority will have to return to Wal-Mart to live. If you, or anyone you know, can take some barn cats please let us know. We'd love to not return at least some of them. So far there has only been a handful placed in barns.

This sweet girl found her forever home yesterday and we couldn't be happier for her. We know that she will be spoiled and live the pampered life. Congrats to Echo and her new family!

Dear prospective adopter,
My name is Bubba Gump. I am a very big boy who just loves to be in your lap and be petted along with lots of tummy rubs. I’m pretty hard to ignore. I play kind of rough so probably wouldn’t be good with small children but everyone else is fine. New Beginnings rescued my mother when I was one day old almost two years ago and I have been with them ever since. I am an indoor only kitty since I’ve never been outside, it just wasn’t safe outside at my foster home. I get along with other cats although in my present foster home the cats here do not like me, (they aren’t used to strange kitties in their house, and they don’t know what fun I can be). I have never been around dogs. I do take time to adjust to new situations which is typically a cat thing you know. Food is my motivation. See me in action on the NBSPCA website.
