We’re Pals for Pups, and we’re as crazy about your dog as you are. Our philosophy is simple. When you leave your dog with us, you’re leaving a member of your family. And that’s a responsibility we take very seriously.
Here, you’ll find the largest, cleanest, safest, most socially-centered air conditioned/heated environment in the area. We have over 13,500 square feet of space for your pup to romp and play on 1.42 acres. We have a strong commitment to ongoing training and education. Pals for Pups offers high quality, affordably priced play care for dogs by people who love and understand dogs and know the world is a better place because of them. It is our goal to be known for the confidence and trust we gain through our clients. We provide a safe, fun, and entertaining environment for your dog. At our facility, our clients are able to view the main play area from the lobby. You’re able to see our rubber flooring which is cleaned and disinfected every day with an industrial floor cleaner that keeps our facility clean and safe for all of our pups! And, to keep all your dog’s needs under one roof, Pals for Pups dog play care is pleased to offer a variety of services we are sure you and your dog will love!
Pals for Pups Play Care Facility offers a peace-of-mind alternative to leaving your Canine pal home alone. Our play care program provides a fun, healthy and engaging environment filled with lots of activities, love, and attention. So, by days-end, you and your best friend will come home feeling relaxed and happy knowing that you both had a great day!
When you get home from work, does your dog barrel out the front door? After a walk does your dog get that mischievous look in his eye, like what should I get into now? At Pals for Pups, the dogs are free to play all day except at naptime. When dogs play together it provides a different type of physical and mental stimulation that we humans can’t give. A tired dog is a well-behaved dog….and all of our dogs leave tired but happy.
When you walk your dog, does he pull and tug at the leash when another dog approaches? He may not be receiving enough socialization time with other dogs. Since dogs are pack animals, most dogs are happy when they can run and play with other dogs. Dog daycare provides the perfect opportunity for your dog to get back to their roots…..and remember what being a dog is like. You will notice a significant difference in your dog’s behavior. Many obedience problems stem from a lack of exercise.
Pals for Pups is the very best in dog play care! Our conveniently located center has over 11,500 square feet for your dog to run and play! Dog daycare has many benefits for dogs and their families.
REDUCE OR ELIMINATE UNWANTED BEHAVIOR
Destructive chewing, barking, digging, and house soiling are often the result of boredom, under-stimulation, or lack of exercise. Pals for Pups provides your dog with the exercise and stimulation she needs to keep your couch, rugs, and garden safe.
SOCIALIZATION
Dogs are pack animals; therefore, being alone can be distressing. In fact, many wild dogs go from birth to death without spending a minute alone! At Pals for Pups, your pooch will enjoy romping and playing with his pals and the doting staff all day long. They will also learn how to behave properly around people, too!
EXERCISE
Your dog will spend the day running in our 11,500+ square foot facility, playing on equipment, and chasing toys. She will be exercised and well behaved when you come to pick her up! We also provide Indoor/Outdoor play areas to provide sunshine, fresh air, and a potty area.
The following explains what we offer to all of our “Pals” who come for a fun day of play care:
LAND OF BIG PAWS is for large – medium sized dogs. Dogs spend their day playing with toys, wrestling, getting love from the staff, sunbathing, learning self-control through training games and just hanging out.
PETITE PAWS LAND is for small – petite sized breeds. They have their own small toys and play equipment. Perfect for Yorkie, poodles, cockapoos, Shih Tzu's, Chihuahuas, and many others!
We take extra special care of your aging pets as well. We understand their needs, that’s why our facility is equipped with separate play areas for even those older dogs who are less active or may be overwhelmed by some of our younger, wild puppies! We make sure that the older animals receive that extra special tender loving care.
Contact us to make an appointment for your free required temperament test evaluation for play care entrance.
Sleepovers!
When you need to be away overnight, for the weekend, for a week, or even longer, let us take care of your dog in the familiar surroundings of our facility. Sleepovers are an extension of Pals for Pups day care services. Sleepovers are a slumber party with all of your dog’s friends in familiar surroundings, eliminating the separation anxieties and other concerns associated with a traditional kennel setting. Overnights at Pals for Pups include regular day care services. Dogs spend the night in an appropriately sized crate for comfort and safety. While dogs are pack animals they also like to have their own special “den”, their own special place with their blanket and toy so they feel comfortable and safe. Crates offer a nice, quiet place for retreat after a long day of play. We ask that you bring your own food to limit bouts of an upset tummy. Rest assured that all of the dogs in our care get special personal attention from our staff. Both weekday and weekend bookings are available. Weekend stays get plenty of playtimes each day, so not to worry… they’re still running with the pack. In addition to required vaccinations and a temperament test, in the best interest of your pup, one day of play care prior to sleepovers is required. Weekend- Holiday pick up hours: Saturdays – 8 am – 11 am Sundays – 8:00 am – 9:00 am and 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Drop off hours are always in the morning.

Dog Obedience Training!
As a result of training over 14,000 dogs during my 35 plus year career as a dog obedience instructor, I have developed an effective method of training using a balance of praise and love as a motivator, not treats. With this method of training, dogs are truly trained and not just treat trained. All dogs must be up to date on their vaccinations. One handler per dog in class but the entire family is welcome to attend and watch!
Beginning Dog Obedience:
(Dogs must be 5 months or older. All classes run 10 weeks)
The handler must be old enough to have control over the dog. A six-foot leather leash and a properly fitted chain collar are required. Dogs are motivated using praise not treats and are trained to respond to first command. Dogs are taught to heel without pulling, automatic sits, sit and down stay during distractions while the handlers are out of sight, come immediately when called off leash, and stand stay. We provide training classes at three different locations: Schaumburg Park District, Elk Grove Park District, and our facility, Pals for Pups.

Bath service includes: bath time, brush out, hand blow dry, nail trimming, ear cleaning, paw /pad trimming, a**l glands expressed on request, bows or bandanas for that special touch.
If you are only doing a grooming service with us, you can make an appointment and your pup will go directly to the groomer who will call you 10 minutes before he/she is done. This eliminates stress on your dog by getting them in and out without lingering in a crate for hours.
Bath time– We use shampoos and conditioners to help deep clean, deodorize and leave your pet’s coat looking healthy, shiny and smelling fresh. We can also apply special shampoo and rinse products prescribed by your veterinarian.
Drying- All our dogs are hand dried. NO CAGE DRYING. Each pet will be given our total and undivided personal attention. We provide a warm area and plenty of thick terry towels to dry your dog. For dogs such as Labs, Goldens, Collies, Corgis, Shepherds, and all breeds with shedding undercoats, we use dryers that allow us to fully blow out your dog’s coat. This process will allow us to remove old undercoat and dander also helps enhance your dog’s circulation. The removal of dander reduces airborne elements that cause allergies and creates a healthier living environment for you and your dog. You will be amazed at the amount of unwanted pet hair that comes from your pet!
Medicated Soak– Special medicated shampoos are available upon request. We have many treatments that provide relief for itching, hotspots, bacteria, crusty skin, Dandruff, and bites. Perfect for sensitive skin and dogs with allergies.
Ear Cleaner– Our ear cleaner will cut through the toughest wax! We carefully remove wax buildup to help control bacteria and yeast infections. This is great for our pets with recurring infections. We love pink and healthy ears!
Dental Care– We believe dental care is a very important part of your pets' healthcare. Regular treatments help keep teeth clean reducing the risk of gum disease, removing plaque, and help control bad breath.
Nail Trim– Do you hate trimming your dog’s toenails? Let us do it for you. We have the right equipment and plenty of patience.
Requirements and Exceptions: For the safety of our boarding and daycare dogs, Pals for Pups Grooming DOES NOT offer flea or mange dips.
