Everyone deserves to dress up a little more than usual now and then, which is why today is National Dress Up Your Pet Day! Not one to put your dog in a tutu or put a sweater on your cat? Don’t worry, you can still participate with a new collar or harness! If you end up putting a snazzy outfit on your pet, be sure that they can move and breathe easily, and don’t leave them unattended in their fancy clothes. Feel free to email us a photo at [email protected] and we may just post it!

Today is National Cuddle Up Day and there’s no other way we’d rather spend it but by curling up with our fur babies during this cold spell! Cuddling with someone (human or animal) releases oxytocin (also known as the love drug) in our brains. Oxytocin plays a part in our well-being, from warm and fuzzy feelings to pain management. It also helps to reduce cardiovascular disease, as well as symptoms of stress and anxiety. Maybe the best part about cuddling with our pets and releasing this hormone is that our pets release it when interacting with us too!

These renovations are coming in phases, and today is the first day of phase 2! In this phase, the surgery suite, cat ward, former doctor’s office, and surrounding treatment area will be undergoing a face lift. The goal for this is three weeks!

When we said remodel, we meant it! These photos are precisely why we are asking for our clients to participate in curbside appointments. We are limited on space and our exam rooms have turned into temporary treatment areas and kennel wards. If you really would like to come in with your pet, we can accommodate you, but we ask you to excuse our mess!

Yes, it’s true, your pets favorite p*e bushes are gone! We are still in the very beginning of a long remodel of the hospital, so stay tuned for more updates! (P.S. We are curbside! Please call when you arrive for an appointment or when you are picking up medications or your pet).
