Update: We are using the winter months to reload and reinvigorate our isopod colonies. At this time, we are not accepting orders. Once able, we will update our stock and allow local pickups. When the weather warms back up we will also return to shipping nation-wide and hope to be stocked up for the duration of the "isopod season".

Powder Orange isopods are temporarily out of stock.

We've had a run of 285+ Powder Orange isopods sold in the last 2 weeks. Luckily, they are among the fastest reproducing isopods but time will be needed for the colony to re-grow. I would estimate them to be back in stock in about 3-4 weeks. All other species are still well in abundance at greatlakesisopods.com

I thought I'd see how many orders I've had thus far in our short tenure.. It's not much of a milestone but we're posting it anyway. My 37th order is going out!

Great for helping keep your pets terrarium clean and/or breeding for a colony of your own. Very low maintenance as pets and intriguing insects to observe. Also can be used as feeder bugs for certain reptiles and amphibians.

These are woodlouse (sow bug) isopods a close relative but not Roly-Poly's (pillbug).

Permitted supplier through the United States Department of Agriculture for nation-wide shipping (see below for the few exceptions).

Can also provide same-day delivery for portions of Southeast Michigan as well as in-person pickups (Please message ahead of time as I do not have them packaged until orders are placed).
