Teddy came in for his Rabies and FVRCP vaccines… and clearly had some thoughts about it. 😤

✨ The Rabies vaccine protects against a fatal disease that’s also transmissible to humans (and required by law in many areas!).

✨ The FVRCP vaccine protects cats from three serious viruses: feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus, and panleukopenia.

Teddy may not love shot day, but we sure love keeping him safe.

We get it Teddy, shots are hard. Being cute is harder😻

Bravery comes in small paws and with a little lamb by your side🧸💉

Benny came in for his very first vet visit. Newly adopted, freshly vaccinated, and fully supported by his emotional support lamb🐑

He was a brave boy with the softest eyes and the sweetest little comfort buddy.

Welcome to the Blue Oaks family, Benny! You’re already so loved. 💙

As you gear up for spooky fun, don’t forget to keep your furry friends safe. 🎃👻

Here are a few quick reminders:
🍬 No Candy: Chocolate, raisins, and xylitol are toxic to pets.
🏷️ ID & Microchips: Make sure tags and info are up to date.
🕯️ Watch Decorations: Keep candles, cords, and glow sticks out of reach.
🧟‍♂️ Costume Safety: Choose comfy fits, no loose parts or blocked movement.
🚪 Create a Safe Space: Give nervous pets a quiet room away from the door.
🏠 Keep Pets Indoors: Safest place to avoid open doors and spooky surprises!

🧡🖤💜 Wishing you and your pets a fun, fright-free, and safe Halloween! 🧡🖤💜

Behind every exam, surgery, and moment of care is a team that truly gives their all.

At Blue Oaks, we know how important it is to care for ourselves, too. Burnout happens in every profession, but compassion fatigue can hit especially hard in veterinary medicine.

That’s why we make time to decompress in ways that fill our cups:
🛁 Long baths
🏞️ Hiking and time with family
📚 Reading and movie nights
🐶 Quality time with pets
🍞 Baking, 🎮 gaming, 🧘 gym sessions, 🎳 bowling, and exploring local breweries, farmers markets, and more!

Every small moment helps us recharge so we can keep showing up, fully present, for the pets and people who depend on us.

So today, we’re sharing a reminder for everyone:

❤️ Be kind to your vets. We always try our best, and we’re always here for you and your pets.

💬 Tell us in the comments: How do you decompress when life gets stressful?

Cheese came in for a URI, and brought her emotional support sibling with her.

A URI (upper respiratory infection) can cause sneezing, nasal discharge, or labored breathing in our furry, feathered, and scaly friends!

Just like cats and dogs, ducks can develop upper respiratory infections from bacteria, poor air quality, or chilly conditions. With a little care (and moral support from her sibling), Cheese is on the mend!

At Blue Oaks, we care for all kinds of pets: furry, feathered, or scaled, because every species deserves compassionate, knowledgeable care.

Joey’s definitely giving “Cat Whisperer” energy! 😻

From playful kittens to calm cuddle pros, Joey's got a special touch when it comes to making every cat feel safe and loved.

Regular wellness visits are just as important for cats as they are for dogs... even if they seem perfectly healthy. Cats are experts at hiding discomfort, so wellness checkups help catch changes early and make sure the only thing they’re hiding is their favorite nap spot!

Schedule your cat’s next wellness visit today! They’ll thank you (eventually 😉).
